Now that's how you paint an Iron Man statue, look at the line separation in the shoulder joint cabling, that is amazing!

Sorry I'm late guys :( hahahahaha! Just got back from Stark Towers...boy is it busy times! Ultron is almost here!!!! :horror

Anyways, I haven't had a chance to take some quality pics yet but I just wanted to quickly share some quick thoughts on the XM Iron Man MKXLII Movie Statue and hopefully get those who have this arriving soon to feel even more excited The statue is just amazing!! Okay, so I'm gonna be a little biased being an Iron Man fan but that also makes my opinion ultra critical of this piece cos the MKXLII suit is such a difficult armour to get right in regards to the complexity of the colour scheme but XM have delivered what appears to be some amazing paint application on this huge piece! From some of the pcs I'd seen of this statue before it had shipped out had me thinking if the colours were actually quite off (in regards to the gold) but inhand it just looks so good and the camera just doesn't pick up the metallic effect of the golds which is a really nice touch. Fantastic display options with the 2 switch out arms and numerous hands plus the 3 alternate portraits (Helmet, Stark and Pepper Potts) In regards to the Stark portrait, I'm so in love with it that it'll be my favourite choice portrait to display this statue with and the texture of the skin surpasses anything that I've seen from Sideshow...I'm not gonna say it's better than Hot Toys as I haven't seen 1/6 Stark figure inhand but it's one of the most realistic portraits I've seen on a 1/4 scale movie piece. So to summarise, I've been blown away by my first XM piece that I'm now doubley excited about recieving the XM Iron Man MKVII statue as it's gonna be even more amazing!! Congrats once again to everyone picking this guy up, you won't be disappointed :) more pics to follow soon guys :wave

:hi5: That's refreshing to hear, as paint app issues have plagued Iron Man collectibles especially for as long as I can remember. What collectibles are you going to put around this one?

:) Hey Eric, in regards to what collectibles to put round it? Well, mine is going back into the box after i've taken more pics but when the time comes, I think i'll be displaying this piece alongside the MK42 Lifesize bust from Sideshow :) think that'll work really well. I also have the Sideshow MK42 1/4 maquette coming too but all those maquettes will be displayed together :)

Thanks Stevie boy! ;) Yea, really grateful a fellow freak handed me their XM MK42 PO for a below retail price, which was an absolute result and one which triggered me into ordering the XM MKVII pretty much within seconds of securing the MK42 :)

As for Magneto, well I was never going to order him bro :( Not a Magneto fan I'm afraid...but I am a big fan of Doom and my time is yet to come with the arrival of the LSF!!! :rock For me that piece is still hands down the greatest collectible I've seen to date :horror

Congrats Andy... he looks topnotch

Thanks Pau :clap

Seems a couple collectors have received their Iron Man with the left arm broken from the statue...

Response from XM Shorudan

"" Received a call from Ben and we've seen some pretty horror photos on how the boxes arrived - the outer brown box is torn, ripped. It seems almost as if the FedEx guys were playing soccer with the packages? Does "Fragile - Handle Carefully" not mean anything these days? When we did the test drops on the Mark 42s, they were fine. But with this new incident, we are recalling the rest of the batches and now separating the vulnerable arm out. It will have a pin mechanism so that collectors can secure it into the socket. This will help to prevent breakage. We've just called the factory to halt rest of the work and do this immediately. Time to get some Redbull and burn the midnight oil! ""

Yep, and that IMMEDIATE RESPONSE is just fantastic. Can't ask for anything more from them. I love this statue and this company! :rock
