Sideshow ESB/ROTJ Darth Vader

Just opened up Vader and I'm happy to say he is 100% damage free.

No marks on both helmets
No missing tusks
No frayed cape
Nothing wrong with the sculpt
Light box is working properly

I'm considering picking up a TTM20 to fill out the suit nicely and lower the height a bit. With his current height he can't even fit on my display shelf.

You need a bigger shelf not a smaller Vader

I got lucky. Everything seems to be in good order. Really, really nice figure.

Quick pic, un-futzed/un-modded etc. The Stormies are un-modded as well.

Looking forward to tweaking this one, well done Sideshow.

I recieved my Vader today put me down for missing his left tusk missing on my Vader ,other then that absoutely love him. I emailed sideshow I realy hope will replace and send me a new helmet. If i have to destroy his helmet it will be with GREAT SORROW to DESTROY something so Awesome wish they would let me keep it some how with a replacement.

I just got done magnetizing the sculpted component head. Took a bit of work to figure it out but it works pretty well. Still need to touch it up some.

As far as I know, destroying the parts they're replacing is a policy, so you can pretty much count on it. People have confirmed in the thread, as well, that they've sent pics of the destroyed parts to SSC.

Even with my small flaw of miissing tusk feel's great getting This VADER today realy digging my collection after 2 and half years of great figure's flying in. My 2nd Vader after The ANH version. 2 years flew by LOVE this Hobby and collecting all of it is just Breath taking seeing and actualy owning all these Work's of ART. Cant wait to see what come's next in another 2 years of AMAZING release's.

NP. It's been mentioned a couple times, but if you were planning on making any modifications, you could use the head you'll have to destroy to do a dry run, first (for example, if you wanted to mod the head so that the dome sits lower, like King Darkness did). That way you're more likely to get it right when you do it on the 'good' Vader. Still not sure if I will, myself, or whether I'll just keep him stock.

I've been in the hobby the same amount of time and have to say, between new releases and catching-up on a few classics, plus a custom or two, I'm getting a little fatigued, haha. Love it but from now to March is going to be really expensive between Vader, Grievous, War Machine Mark II, RoboCop, ED-209 and a final Snowtrooper. Very much looking forward to the upcoming gap from April to August, when the Probot is expected to ship. Great time to be in the hobby, though, like you say.

Here is a picture of my Darth Vader with my fixed tusk - I broke one off of the Anakin and Crazy Glue'd it to the Vader sculpt.

I am happy with this figure, I think I will try to find an iconic pose for it... I like the setup for now.

Ahh that is good idea i'm not much of a modder more of a adder or upgrader or set n forget and ADMIRE THE BEAUTY. This is just A HOME RUN to ME think may get xtra bits for my ANH version and possibly buy another if can. VADER is the reason my collecting started and been looking forward to this day for long long time to get a BRAND NEW VADER. Great pics BOJTREK thats what I'm talking about this stuff didnt happen in a day unless your Flippin rich ! We all been chopping down the mountain of Grails slowly and AFTER A WHILE I'M JUST AMAZED I OWN half of what i do. Love waking up to MUSEUM type ART WE ALL CAN OWN. A GREAT TIME TO BE IN THIS HOBBY.

Dang, I'm not on Facebook, but are these cold cathode lightsabres Toyz Studio is selling? If it's not too much trouble, can you link directly to a photo not on FB? Would love to see them, as it's not easy at the moment to track down CC sabres on the board. No worries, if not, highlander. Cheers, though, good to know about a new source for this stuff.

Got mine opened. Just a great figure.
Although it has some issues
Wires coming through top of belt which just seems the glue didn't seal the belt.
Have a blemish on the reveal helmet.
Anakin head is crooked like some have reported.
I'm not doing any mods, I'm very happy as it is and I'll get the issues resolved.
