Yeah I personally think the subscription model is to blame either directly or indirectly for a lot of the issues people have.

I was one of the first to voice my displeasure at Battle Lion when it was revealed. Hope I didn't come across as against any particular faction, as I'm not so long as it is executed well. As soon as I saw Battle Lion I wondered how King Grayskull would sit on there, not that its a possibility for me as I already used him for a couple of custom figures.

I'm just planning on putting NA He-Man on top of Battle Lion as the futuristic armour fits the NA aesthetic quite well IMO. Now that I think of it as NA Battle Cat I'm much keener, dont know how I can explain away his missing stripes though....:dunno

I didn't know people were saying Hydron was fat, with the exception of Two-Bad and Modulok he's my favourite figure for 2014 so far.

Nah, no one in particular man. Just general annoyance with the constant bickering and venom online. Every where I go there are always a few people that are stirring the pot. We all know the line has it's issues, but it's like the Matty panel at Power Con.. people just voice their concerns rudely and as is Matty is evil. I just want to say "then quit collecting the line", but the truth is I bet most people already have yet still love to *****. lol.

Well, as far as missing stripes, Matty is making the armor so it should fit on Battle Cat. So there is always that option. :)

Hydron is one of my favorites as well. I've been waiting for him for years, finally!

The sub model is certainly challenging, but there is no way any of these figures would really get made otherwise. There is no way for Mattel to win. They don't do a sub, people aren't happy, the line dies quickly (I would surmise). They do a sub, people aren't happy. They do a sub with no DoS, people aren't happy. Yes, Matty needs to fix some of their problems, and have been working on it, but the figure line up isn't one of them imo at this point. I think people just need to worry less about what they don't like, b/c there will ALWAYS be something you don't like. That's just the nature of this toy line and the sub model. It's the only way for the line to work though.

Sorry.. anyway... I really hope Thundercats Classics happens.

childish or not...I find it applaudible that people spoke out whether you agree with it or not.(People have the right to be dissatisfied)

should people remain silent when they have their liberties trampled on by politicians too? (while a different comparison, but the principle is the same)..

I agree,It could of been addressed differently when it was Q/A time, but it's nice to see people speak out.(as PAYING customer's,they have every right too)

WTF is this crap I keep seeing about I'm a paying customer bs. Like since they buy something, it gives them the license and freedom to talk to people however they want and yell out whenever they feel like.

I don't play that crap. Nobody is talking about them expressing that issue was bad, it was the timing and blurting interruption that was tasteless and extremely childish.

Well "the customer is always right" is a very long standing and well respected concept.

I'd also like to point out that id your goal in complaining about people complaining is to reduce conflict it's not a terribly good way of going about it. But who am I to say, I'm here complaining about complaining about complaining.

You're assuming that the basic relationship between customer and business is a balanced one to begin with. This is especially true with a captive market like the MOTUC line. The business has A LOT more power than the consumer. This is why there's consumer right's groups.

Except we're buying toys, and though some quality is expected, I am pretty sure any consumer group would laugh if a consumer complaints that "Glimmer's leotard looks like a diaper"
Some people I'm telling you... :lol

The price is a big part of it. If we paid $19.99 each, we would let more go. At $36 or so each, PLUS being forced to buy some you didn't actually want, and dealing with crappy CS..... well, a customer has a right to want quality for that kind of money.

So "paying" customers shouldn't mean anything to a business and a business shouldn't care about "paying" customers? asinine :cuckoo:

I agree, they could of went about it in a more polite way (plus I wasn't there),but when it comes to someone's money, you better believe their voice should be heard, especially those who bought just about every figure and bought every Sub for the sake of getting more figures.

It may not matter to you,but it matter's to those who put out alot of money to get these.Mattel doesn't give these away for FREE (unless they over produce guys like Mer-Man)

:lecture uh huh

:lecture this is true...prices are not cheap for these and its only going to keep getting worse....

Are you serious? You got banned? Don't you have like a million posts there too? WTF is up with that! I post there some, but honestly, I don't want to bad mouth other places but there is a reason my post count is 2000+ here and in the low hundreds there.. lol.

Well, the thing is, apparently the hecklers have some pull with the mods there, to be honest, I don't know who the hell they are, but apparently their feelings were hurt because I called them trolls and clowns... which is basically what they are... apparently I should just call them "passionate"... that.s the P.C. term nowadays...

Whatever, I was there, and more than one person felt it was rude, annoying and embarrassing to hear these guys make fool of themselves... specially when their complaints are nitpicks. But whatever...

For a moment, I thought the guys were drunk or something, because for me it's hard to comprehend how a grown *** adult can behave like a 6 y.o...
Even the little kid at the panel told them: "Who cares?" :lol

The only way MOTUC is made to seem like its a captive market is because the consumer GIVES them that power. Your purchasing power will dictate what happens and what will not with MOTU.

Its not like Mattel is holding a noose around your neck saying that you must buy.

No it's a captive market, it doesn't seem like one. There's one retailer and no competition. No one is saying you must buy but if you want to buy MOTUC at retail you have to buy from them.

Teemu, this and only this, was how this came up. I already expressed that people have the right to voice displeasure about a product they buy, but they could have simply waited another 10 minutes to voice their displeasure instead of blurting out interruptingly.

All this extra stuff about paying customer is nonsense...you want to know why? Because your money and purchasing power is what's going to dictate what Mattel does or does not do.

I see a lot of people that willingly let these corporations hold them by their testicles by giving them more power than they truly have. You don't need to buy a subscription. If they say we need to hit subscription numbers to continue to do this, you know what I say....OH WELL!!!!!:pfft:

But I stand by the fact that THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. :lecture There are many businesses that have this model and are doing just fine.

BTW I got banned from the .org again because I called out the douchebags on the Matty panel

I don't think you deserved to get banned, you have your opinion...but that said....(read below)

One of those Hecklers was BCRDUKE (Brian Rooney)...I watched the panel video (and yes you can cleary hear the banter) and it wasn't that bad as you made it out to be...(I read all the comments on the Org)

To say they should of been escorted out by security is ridiculous at best and quite telling about yourself under certain situations.

What I heard were passionate fans, whether over the top or not, they have the right to have their opinion over product they are PAYING for.

The Glimmer diaper issue commented wasn't that bad either and I actually agree she could be done better. The Sorceress chair was discussed at the end during QnA...so they did nothing wrong there because it was discussed at that time.Me personally,I could care less if Sorceress can sit in the throne or not because I have my own canon and like toyguru said "It's anyone's Castle"

You complain about people getting overly excited over toys, but you also do the same thing (but mostly more in a positive way because you as a person seem to be more accepting) while some do it in a negative way, which I don't see anything wrong with....we all know their just toys, but some are more passionate and feel that we are paying top dollar for the toys we get and should get what they hope for (I hope you can respect that)

The most annoying part was the little kid in the front row interrupting every minute and speaking out loud (but he was just a kid among a group of adults talking about toys)...should we of escorted him out too?

anyways,it's this not an attack on you...just how I view the situation
