. I think Weta has gone to the side of being overpriced though. 200 bucks for that Bilbo I think is insane, especially as an open edition piece. But then Weta announces a silly magnet has sold out so who knows. They may pull the plug on these at any time, most seem to doubt that but did anyone think a silly magnet would sell out?? I mean what's the production cost of that. I'd be even more peeved if this was the case since it would suggest they should have just numbered the things from the start.

I liked some of the magnets but the price, especially the rip off shipping price that they wanted prevented me from pulling the trigger

The magnets ship from NZ, so if you're located outside Australasia, high shipping prices are unavoidable.

I don't think the magnets have an edition size? If it's currently listed as sold out it'll probably just be out of stock until they get some more in.

a map to ship was like 6 bucks...for a few magnets they tried to charge me over 40, ...no combined shipping...nonsense

Looking at this one again...This Weta piece is my favorite Gandalf the Grey Statue period...yes better than SSW, SSM and even SSPF

It is a great statue. It feels like the gtg we know so well and I love that it really resembles that opening scene from the trailer.

So we just need an official poster to go along with this sculpt. I wonder if Tim has any pull with WB to get one made.

Like I said...I will stand by my words that this newest GG statue is best GG made to date...love it

Actually, I'm leaning towards a lenticular cover for display like this below. Now if only I could find a way to secure one.

I will get a couple of those at least plus one for my iPad. I would say your local B&N should have them.

Just found a store who can stock all 5 lenticular covers for me. Hopefully they can pull through.

After waiting a week to finally get back from university to go home and open up my Gandalf statue, all I can say is that it was worth the wait. It really is a work of art, down to the sculpting and the paint job.The likeness to Ian Mckellen is uncanny and without a shadow of a doubt is the best representation of Gandalf I've seen. It's surprisingly heavy compared to other statues I have and the quality is superb, great work Steven. I recommend everyone picks this statue up. I can't wait to see what Steven does next.

Here's a few pictures I took, including a close-up of the face:
