..so I don't know why you are so shocked with the version of Snake they went with "first" and like people have already pointed out this is typical hot toys, release the least desired version first and people will cave and order it anyway out of impatience just to have a hot toys Snake at long last, note it does say "version" so they will release others.

Relax,i think HT will make another Big Boss. They wouldn't have called this a Sneaking suit version if they didn't have plans doing another one.I hope they do a Tiger Stripe and no eyepatch version.

Yep, Chris Redfield BSAA version, John Connor Final Battle Version, Jill Valentine BSAA version, Wesker STARS version, all figures that had 2nd versions.

Hot Toys don't tell you from the off, they semi tell you in the name of another product and make you sweat a bit, lol.

Exactly I just laugh at all the guys who run to mindlessly preorder. Hey here's an idea, lets run and immediately drop a bunch of money on something i wont get for 8 months and sit and then watch everyone else get it in 6 months in Asia. and every day check the mail for two months to finally get it for 20 dollars above what the local store in town has sold it for during the last month they've had it before I did with my preorder.

These days even the limited release ones are in editions of three thousand. :dunno

Well where do you guys buy from because I want to get Snake and The Boss AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I can agree with that statement as well unfortunately. Do as you wish, but I see it as a way to do my part. Individual responsibility sort of thing, food for thought.

I can dig it, but for me, this is my "holy Grail" and while I've passed on MANY HT releases the past few years due to expense, these are must haves for me due to the love I have for the Metal Gear series.

it looks great, the headsculpt is awesome..no too crazy about the suit ht went with but its not a deal breaker. i hope the mgs line does great that way we can get more mgs figs. im really hoping for a mgs1 solid snake and i'd love to see sniper wolf and the rest of fox hound.

Don't you get it? That's the genius of it! They release ____ty versions first so people can be like "That's not the version I wanted but oh well, I guess I'll buy anyway." than *BAM!* they release the stuff everyone was looking forward in the first place, thus making fans purchase more than one figure.

Instead of Eva, you might get Evan, if 'The Boss' figure is anything to go by.

I think I'll wait for Big Boss cammo version intead this one.. I'm not a big fan of that MGS3 Sneaking suit :monkey3

However I love The boss, and looks better than I expected :yess::yess:

Pre-ordering, especially from Sideshow, ensures that you're guaranteed customer service, so that if your figure has a problem (eg. a factory defect), you can easily get it returned or exchanged. They can even send you spare parts for free, (or even a free replacement figure) in the event that your package arrives damaged. Try getting that level of service at run-of-the-mill hobby shops, or from independent sellers for that matter. Heck, even Midtown comics has a lot of old Hot Toys figures for sale, but I NEVER buy from them because the boxes are always damaged (with heavy shelf-wear), and look as if they were opened up and tampered with.

It's true that you paying full price when you pre-order, but at the same time, you're getting a large level of service that you won't normally find at retail.
