I agree with a lot of the above comments, I got in late on PZ, and had to pay a huge mark-up because I wanted it so badly. It's an amazing piece. I had "Carcass" on PO originally but dropped it because when it came time to make a final choice it was also too over the top for me.

I relate this to preferring older horror movies over newer. I prefer subtlety and hints of things rather than blood gushing, maggots etc. It doesn't need to be in your face and ripe to be disturbing.

PZ was a perfect balance for me. Im considering Templar and I HOPE Babysitter is more tame than Carcass, so I can get her too.

I completely agree with you regarding the subtle being MUCH more effective than the over-the-top gore. I also had the same experience buying the PZ later rather than when it first came out. In my opinion, it's one of the best sideshow pieces out there. I did end up pre-ordering the Templar EX - I think it looks great. Lots of detail and the crow is a really nice touch. I think it brings the whole piece together.

Geez, SS announces a 750 ES and I had to go to page 4 to find this thread? Is that lack of excitement or what? So is 750 too high for this niche collectible? I think so.

That and I think the prices have gotten too high for niche items like this. $250 and more would have biten. $350 is just too much these days.

I'm a huge fan of THE DEAD and I completely forgot about this piece. The Carcass was a push but this hit right into the meh category. I really think SSC overestimated how they could move this into larger formats.

I would love to see a Security Guard (Subject 5) in PF styling though.

Got the Exclusive in this morning. It really is a stunning piece - Thank you Sideshow for my prize! :D

I need to find a good spot for it - because of his pose, he takes up a fair amount of room. Right now I have him on a high shelf - which makes it impossible to see his face...so I'm going to do some rearranging. I'll try to take some pics this weekend of it.

I'm actually getting off work at a decent hour tomorrow, so I will take and post some pics tomorrow evening. :D

Well, in order to not use a flash, I had to turn a lot of lights on - so it kind of gave it an extra warmish glow - I'll try to take better pics this weekend in some natural light. But here are some for now.

That seems to have come out quite nice Jen. Are you happy with the paint apps in person?

I'm really digging the face on this piece. Looks terrifying. The base is cool as well.

I am - I wish I could get a good shot of his arm - it really is the only fleshy part and it looks nasty! :lol This one is not as gory looking (in my opinion) as some of the others - which I think suits this well, since as a Templar - he would have been dead for a very long time and not just some fresh kill turned zombie. Because of the color tones used - he looks more like someone who's skin is dried and leathery and washed out - like he has been wandering around for ages and there just isn't much skin left on him.

I really like the clothing - I think Sideshow did a nice job on everything. At first I was thinking of maybe bloodying it up a bit more...but then it wouldn't be like that for someone dead for so long. It would be more faded looking due to so many years out in the sun and elements. So taking that into consideration, I think Sideshow did a fantastic job. The detailing is quite good, the clothing has a very worn look and I really like the base. Though it (the base) feels rather light...I'm not sure if it's polystone.
