Thanks for the pics. That makes more sense to me now. And nice shot of the watch.

The frayed hose I just stuck into the backpack. I'm not sure where it was supposed to go. The pool noodle is the thing on the very top of the backpack that's secured by the flaps with the snaps (it looks like one of those foam pool noodles to me). I took the top of the backpack off and futzed the whole thing, but the one end just sort of sticks out. I'll take more pics tomorrow when I redo the straps.

And once again- This is an awesome figure!

I'm worried I messed the pants up. Are you supposed to tuck them inside the big boots or are they supposed to be over them? Or rolled up on top?

I tucked them in but not all the way so they don't look flat.

I actually have yet to tuck them in. They are just setting up against the top of the boots. That means that every time I pic up the figure the boots kind of drop down/hang there, which I find very irritating.

Just received my 2011 version, the head sculpture is amazing. I was wondering though, does anyone where I might find possible add-ons to display this figure in the IVA (ingress) configuration?

Man, I keep wanting to pull the trigger on this but what keeps killing it for me is the big puffy 'collar'. I mean, that aspect is just a compromise of being at 1/6 scale right? I'm not an Apollo historian by any means, but I've never seen a photograph with that feature so noticeable. Just up front and center, I find it really distracting and it spoils the figure for me.

All the photos of the figure seem to have the same look to the collar, so I don't suppose there's a way to futz your way out of this is there?

It's been awhile since I've seen mine (the original releases) which are buried deep in my boxes, I believe the problem is the velcro used on that collar causes it to stand up a bit rather then compress under the outer visor, if you removed the velcro and secured that flap some other way (maybe sew the collar flaps together?) it would stand up less.

Here's Neil Armstrong's suit from his Apollo mission displayed in the Smithsonian which you can clearly see the collar on the outer visor:

I did check and this weird hose on the box (what I think Batty was referring to as the "pool noodle") is long enough to wrap all the way around his torso and kind of tuck into the box wrapping on the other side, so I might just do that...

That's where the air hoses are currently inserted, The air hoses should actually be inserted below that retention strap indicated in black.

My two are in storage. I was going off of a couple of poor diagrams.

But I have a great pic:

Sorry, I should've made it clearer, the oxygen hose inserts into that black area I indicated and continues upward under that retention strap, it connects to the upper portion of the PLSS (the large backpack). The oxygen hose is indicated here in red:

The Electrical Umbilical Hose connects to the PLSS pack here:

That Green area you indicated is actually where the stowage plate is, it secures the PLSS to the LEM.
So going from those images, Dragon did kind of get it wrong. The Electrical Umbilical Hose for instance should come out of the RCU on it's right side as in the pic above.

These are nice clear reference pics, but unfortunately have little to do with the actual figure. As you said, the Electrical Umbilical Hose isn't even coming out of the right side.

I have no intention of modifying the figure to be more accurate. It's just a matter of figuring out what Dragon had in mind for the hose coming from the box...

Yeah, most people wouldn't know the difference if they're not in the right spots. I suppose you could take that electric umbilical and insert it where the oxygen hose is supposed to go on the pack's upper right side.
