Hat looks even smaller in those pics.

But yeah, it's a fantastic sculpt and great paint. I just wish it was to scale with the rest of him... including the hat.

Keep in mind his head is tilted back in those pics.
I don't find the "bobble head" as bad as German Indy but they don't bother me as much as most of you guys. Maybe I'll do a head comparison pic.

Mind, I'm not saying it isn't a big noggin. It is.

Also, this is the best Pro I've gotten. Night and day from my Adventure Indy.

Wow.
I'm with Nam and Neil here...Ford is Indy. He did way more than just "wear a hat".

Yeah, Ford is Indy. Thats about as simple as it gets.

The figure looks awesome! Can't wait to get mine monday. Sculpt and detail look to be quite well done. I'm looking forward to posing him like when he looks down at Mutt and says he teaches part time.

beautiful pictures, Jim...I never jump to conclusions anymore with a figure until I can get it out of the box and futzed with., so judging from your shots...he looks great!

Well...here I am at work and he just showed up....opening box, and....
....I like what I see so far! The sculpt is great and at first glance the paint looks good. Can't wait to get outta here and free him from the box...

Keep in mind, I also own him and saw it right out of the box so I know what I'm looking at and for. The face is almost 1:5 scale, and the crown of the hat is just not proportionate with the head.

Sadly no. It's overemphasizing it, definitely, but the face is out of scale and the hat is too small.

All the shots of him at a normal distance show it being ok to me. So if he comes out of the box looking like those I'm cool with that.

I think it's pretty damn obvious that the head is massive... Makes the brim look tiny.... In fact, the disparity makes it so the hat doesn't even resemble a fedora but one of those Sinatra jobs...

Looks great Mr. Fusion with that soldier story body. I also bought thow soldier story body for my Indy customs, one for a indy tod.

It's not worth returning the figure or destroying it in a "HULK SMASH!" temper tantrum. It's just yet another disappointing QC oversight that's pretty obvious and should've been caught during production if not by supervisors, then by the individual gluing on the hats. If the hat was to scale, a larger body could easily hide the 1:5th scale face. Unfortunately, with the hat being too small, again, the discrepancy is more pronounced.

Yeah, that's why I pointed out the head tilt in my pics. I was just trying to capture the face sculpt.

Anyway, here's a quickie comparison, not perfectly scaled.

I like this figure better than Adventure Indy. Hope those who are looking forward to it enjoy.

Its not even a QC oversight IMO. The figure looks pretty damn good. Folks who have taken the time to take good shots of the figure on the Pro it looks just fine. Thats just my POV of course.

Great pics Jim and jedibear!

I got my Indy today and love it. I'm really impressed with the quality of the paint....I think the minimal approach really shows off the sculpt.

Looks like Toy Anxiety is parting out the latest Indy as we speak...

...I picked up the new head and the skull, and ultimately passed on the jacket, mask, dagger and web belt. Unless I break and jump back on the Exclusive Wait List, that should do it for me; Money is tight these days.

I'm insanely jealous of those of you who kept the fridge (had to cancel mine last week), but I'm glad to have these two pieces. If nothing else, they'll make for a nice display option for my one and only Indy.

Just out of curiosity I decided to compare the KOTCS head with a screen cap and the hat-to-head size doesn't look so bad to me. Not perfect but not bad.
