Celtic Predator Life Size Mask!!

I received my Celtic mask yesterday, the lens suck. It is silver paint with some speckles of black thrown on it, I'll take some pics when I figure out how to upload them. Since they have let everybody down with the lens on Scar and now Celtic I wonder how Chopper is going to be because he has the biggest lens of all.

They could have at least used a gloss/chrome type paint.. its not like painting it was the kick in the balls but the fact its the same paint as the rest of the Bio is just... lazy

This is nowhere near the prototype, we always knew the finished product will go downhill compared to the proto but i didn;t expect it would be this bad. They did a very poor job with the scar & now they make it worst on the celtic. $300 is not easy to come by.

sorry, hope u guys who bought it don't get offended if i say this, but based on the in-hand owner pics... the celtic bio really looks like sh---t. and worse, it looks cheap.

i can't understand how ss could charge so much money and not bother to give quality materials and craftsmanship.

look at hot toys. i know 1/6 figures and 1:1 props may be like apples and oranges. and ht stuff are very expensive, but at least we get good quality for the amount charged.

Don't worry, we all agree with that, i think the offensive part is the mask its self. Sideshow must have read all of the scar criticisms and they must be reading this thread (and even more damaging threads other forums) They must know their rep is going down the pan and for what? a little extra effort on each production piece and a swift kick up the backside of whoever painted these last two bio's!!!

I get mine in a few days, I just wanna say Im glad Im not a Chopper fan, Celtic was my favourite bio, and Ill play with some things to customise the lenses but if its warped... ill cry fo sho

The way I see it Celtic and Scar are sold out items so why would SS
care about their quallity, they have made their cash.
And as long as people keep buying them I cant see much changing.

All we can do really is speak up and bombared SS with complaints, we need to make them understand that this isn't right, we spend alot of hard earned money on these products.

SS seem to be losing the plot a little and thinking we will pay ever increasing prices for ever degrading products. well shame on us if so but it certainly won't last, Sideshow need to buck up their idea's if they wont their loyal customers to stay with them. Celtic is essentially unfinished and badly painted, put simply it is an absolute joke, especially when compared to that brilliant wolf bio.

I really hope someone with a lot sense and a little say from SS is reading all of this. If so.... please get this line back on track and give us some lenses for our scars and celtics!

yeah, i absolutely love the wolf bio! but i can't for the life of me find one for sale ANYWHERE at all, not even on evilbay!

wolf really was the benchmark. it's such a shame ss couldn't maintain that same standard with the rest.

now i'm really tempted to get the predator 2 bio from hollywood collectibles. but i don't own anything from that company and am not sure their quality can be trusted either. from the prototype pics, the colour of the p2 bio looked a little off to me---it's not as bronzed/copper coloured as it was in the movie...

Keep at it chap, i finally got my wolf bio a couple of weeks ago, cost me $600 on ebay but was sooooo worth it!!! Why SS couldn't keep the same high standards on much simpler bio's is beyond me??

As for the P2 from HCG, it is based on a stunt bio, the colour and the large gaps in the (real metal) lenses are accurate to the screen used stunt bio they based it on. Hopefully they will do a hero version one day with the metallic bronze colour, id really love that one!!!!!!

Maybe you can start a request list for lenses, Sideshow might listen if you email them a list signed by those of us who own either the Scar or Celtic bio & would like lenses for them. This might also boost their sales, it's a win/win situation for Sideshow. The list could include our names,the bio we own, & the bio helmet number for their verification. Just a thought.

After talking with a friend who is a a talented modeler (unlike me!) today I have decided to pick up a celtic, repaint it and install some lenses of my own (dark oakley visor cut to size and splatterd with silver paint undernieth)

SS may be ripping us off but the celtic is one of my 3 favourite bio's so i need an accurate sculpt, they do offer that at least. that said this is a bad attitude to take, we should really be refusing to buy this piece out right..... i feel bad

Pics on completion, not sure when these jokes arrive in the UK however?? may be a while.

Not sure yet? im going to have a good long look tomorrow and plan everything, i also need to find out all the correct colours for the scar and celtic as i may do both if i can pick up a cheap scar? but the plan is for black or dark charcoal lenses....

they dont have them in metallic silver already? i heard of ppl using cheap sunglass lenses as well, but i would think that those would be hard to find an exact match. i would also think oakley visors would be pretty expensive wouldnt they?

i would just take a trip to target or walmart first man..........trace out the exact shape of the lenses on some paper and cut it out, take a trip and see if you can find anything decent that matches.........way cheaper prolly, i think this is the route i will take

We don't have either stores here in the UK i will buy some cheapo lenses just to try out a few effects first.... we really shouldn't have to do any of this but what can we do hey. And im only doing this as celtic is such a good design, and scar if i can pick one up dirt cheap!! Im hoping HCG do a good job on the P2, it sells well and they pick up this line were sideshow screwed us!!
