Guess what guys! I just found a blessing in disguise! The body is assembled mostly by screws. Remember how the Bucks are impossible to open because of all those glued parts? Well, guess what? Now you can fix most of the loose joints. My shoulder joints were very loose. I took apart the torso and tightened the screws just a bit and now the shoulders are nice and snug, almost like a truetype! I did the same for the hips. You just need a small philips screwdriver made for opening up watches and the like.

Thanks for the heads up Justin, I'll try this tomorrow if I have any issues.

How difficult was it to remove the body suit?

Hey guys, thanks for all the tips. Mine will be here Monday and I am already planning a lot of the tweaks you guys have come up with...can't wait.

One question, and forgive my ignorance, but a lot of folks have mentioned "TKs"....what is a "TK"?

Like from the movie:

"TK-421, why aren't you at your post?"

Quite easily actually, Batty. In comparison, I still haven't gotten Clone Obi's off yet! On the stormtrooper, the armor comes right off. No need to break glued joints. Also, the spandex material is very stretchy, so there is no difficulty taking the body suit off or putting it back on.

Good to know. Hopefully I won't have to do it.

I would be wary of overtightening them. Don't want the plastic joints to snap like they did on the Hot Toys Aliens.

Here are some pics of mine (no futzing done yet).

I just want to say that I really like this figure. I'm definitely going to try to pick up one more. (I know I'll be getting dups of the Sandies, for sure.)

My only major nit-picks are that the armor appears to be slightly oversized throughout. It's almost like I want to throw this guy in the oven for a few minutes and have all of the armor shrink down tightly around the body. The armor pieces spin around the appendages too easily. The thigh armor pieces in particular can be a pain to set up correctly.

The eyes on mine were not painted neatly, so I'll be going back with some black, followed by some dark-green tint as well.

I was fortunate in getting one with tight joints (except for the ankles). But I use the stand so he should be ok (as long as there are no earthquakes in Miami, Florida... ;))

I think one little tip should be added to "The List":

- Pop off the head/helmet and just rest it on top of the socket. It will really make a difference in giving the figure the look of having a "neck" and not a shrugging look.

Might as well add the following tip as well:

- Dry-brush the exclusive pistol with some gun-metal color to give it some weathering. It's basically unpainted plastic straight from the mold.

Here are the pics:

Notice how far the calf armor sticks out from the leg:

Without his helmet on:

"TK-421, why aren't you at your post?"

"I say, we appear to be out of rum mate."

ok just got home and took apart my ST ... yes there are a few problems ... but nothing that cant be fix and i think thats the fun part ... can we FIX Yavin Luke .......... NO ... but we can make a super super ST ...

i will post new pics of the ST on a TT body soon ... this will work and be great ...

the helmet really makes this figure and i really like the harder plastic ... you can do more with it ...

i have fix the paint on the helmet already and i will have the armor looking super sweet soon ....

I haven't taken a count, but for a period, it felt like every other new product was some sort of black trooper and I couldn't stand it anymore.

WOW, so those 4 announcements, Hasbro's SDCC exclusive Shadow Trooper 2-pack, their Black Hole Trooper, the EE Exclusive OMEGA Squad and Medicom's 1:6 Black Hole Trooper must've been too much for ya. :lol

Really guy? The BH trooper sucks on so many levels, redundant design EU waste of a figure if its in the SSC 12" line. I'd rather have General Madine than a "Blackhole" Stormtrooper. Don't be such a smarmy prick.

Well, that's your opinion, "guy." And while it matters to you, it'd really only matter to me if I gave two craps or a hump about it. Guess what? I don't. :lol

Really enjoy watching all those pics.overall great 12''

Agreed, and a lot of people have been postings some awesome tips for mods. I don't usually mod my figures and this one is great as is, but I think I'll actually do some this time to make him look even better.

It doesn't hurt that they're easy mods, which are the ones that are in my capability. :lol
