It seemed like when this was teased way back when, a trooper would only come with two parts of the console.
A different head sculpt would make so much sense and allow those of us to army build. I hope they release this as this is one of my most wanted figures.

Those helmets didn't stand behind the console in the detention block.

Yeah, that helmet just looks too small. It's like a very good Hasbro bash.

Maybe a smaller body would help the illusion?

I really want this, but I keep telling myself "this is background, background... $300 background!"

Aside from the helmet envy, I don’t see them making this. The previous version was fine and looked good to me. This will probably end up like the N1, safe house, snow trooper commander, and the previous dst. Seems like a giant display that won’t sell. I would be in for 2. Maybe 3 if they have a different version without the giant flying saucer.

Console looks awesome, the figure is pretty middling though.

The Imperial Gunner figure was one of HT's weaker trooper releases and this seems to be at around that level.

And... hopefully this guy actually makes the jump to PO this time. As someone said, the console size does seem a bit more like a con display than a POed product, but we'll see.

Maybe they put two of the same 4-piece consoles together for the octagon.

Because the DS helmets were hand assembled, they do vary in the movies - especially the side flare and depth/length in the back.

But they're not small in ANH. They flare out nearly as wide as shoulders. And that's what I want.

It is, but it's a bit oversized for a HT 1/6 head.

Dont have a figure to hand to test on (placed next to the Marmit trooper I am repairing) but seems fairly close to the size of the Kenner one if that helps with determining the exact scale

I have it in-hand - it does kinda work with one of the old oversized SSC melon heads (late 2000s/early 2010s), but it's too big for a newer HT-style head.
