from what I've read in the LOTR forum it can be quite a pain trying to get those replacement parts that they often promise people.
oh yes. A solid pain.
In the Arwen thread, a member still waiting for a few missing items from his luxury set.. and ignored by asmus. Another member was missing few pairs of hands, and got a replacement from asmus, but when it came, it's not the right pair of hands, it has a very low cheap quality, not the same hands as the one attached in the figure, and not the same hands as the other member got in their luxury sets.
When he complained, asmus told him that it's the replacement parts, take it or leave it.

Such a wonderful service.

Looks like it and for good reason.

I can't imagine a company telling its customers to wait weeks for third parties or a random youtuber to unbox and showcase their product because "everything looks fine in the office" but here we are. 😂

There's no blood on the bar in Asmus final product photos they posted a few days ago though, which makes me think the chainsaw they had broke and used a spare bar. Might explain the glob of glue?
Exo-6 use the strategy of bloggers, YouTube reviewers to get the end product out there.

Wow the sculpt looks...really narrow.

At least the collar doesn't look as bad in that picture though. I have to say, I've never seen a figure look so different from picture to picture.
That's got to be lens distortion. Cell phones are notorious for having small lenses and when you put them right up against a subject, you're going to see warping.

Yeah, this happens so often. A few bad pictures show up and people go straight to panic mode. I get it to some degree, but also I feel like often once more in-hand reviews and videos pop up figures aren’t always as bad as people initially think. I’m waiting to see how this turns out.
while i agree, the photos I have seen are from Asmus themselves….

So its not the usual blogger first pic panic. And Henrietta not having hair has nothing to do with photography.

Asmus' new photos of Henrietta look like a perfect replica of the prototype, but their new photos of Ash still look sub par compared to his prototype. The new chainsaw pictures show really nicely applied blood and the seam in the chainsaw is less noticeable, but the final product images show no blood and the seam is really obvious. All of these things seem like a red flag to me, but I guess we have to wait for someone to have it in hand to know the truth, as Asmus seem reluctant to provide further images.

For the record, I don't dislike Asmus. I have their Yakuza figures and V from Devil May Cry and love all of them, I just think they make careless mistakes (like spelling issues) and don't put their heart into certain licenses. They are notorious for quality drops in production pieces, but this looks to be one of the worst drops so far.

It’s very suspicious and looks incredibly bad.

This release has been poor. Even if its salvageable for people who like doing corrections on figures, a figure should never be getting released with this many issues, wtf are people paying for if they’re getting a product that requires 50 band aids?
I’ve seen 3rd party releases that are more professional than this.

Again, their "new" photos of Henrietta are just photos of the promo prototype. That is not a production sample.

I already stated that myself when they were first posted. I'm just reiterating the various things that are a red flag to me.

So many red flags. 😞 I'm giving it a day or two before deciding to cancel, but either way I'll never pre-order anything else made by this shady company.

Yep, this is a very shady release from them. My first pre-order was V from Devil May Cry and they made sure to post lots of final images before any invoices for him went out, so I got exactly what I saw in photos. I also got the Yakuza figures after release, so no surprises there. However, everything about this Ash release feels off. Final images with glue filled chainsaws, 'new' phone images that show a character in a basement with a higher quality paint application than the main character, plus a completely different chainsaw. Customer images telling a completely different story entirely. The reluctance of the company to simply unbox one full deluxe set and take just one decent photo of everything. The cheap looking stickers to cover the base error, rather than eating the cost and making new plaques. I'm not directly accusing them of anything, but it does all seem odd and eventually someone will get the full set, so we will finally know what customers are truly getting.

Yeah no after catching up now I'm back to maybe cancelling my order for the Lux. I'll wait to see more images or a few YT vids before moving forward but so far the bait and switch is disappointing.

There isn’t going to be some miracle turn around for this release with more pics. The pics we’ve seen are average to bad, Asmus is using proto pics to pretend everything is ok and they’re not showing any pics from the “six” boxes they opened…..face it folks, it’s a release that will be absolutely littered with QC issues.
