I have to say that having seen one in person... it really sold me. I don't have it, but I will have to track it down... it's a nice figure. The colors are great, really pops. The likeness is ok, but still works.

i was looking foward to this figure when it was annouced and when i picked it up at the con i was blown away by its awesomeness. and she's hot:monkey5

By SSC's standard, I felt this is one of their weaker attempt.

Nevertheless I am still eagerly awaiting for my piece to arrive.

I will probably be getting her together with Han and Luke. What a day that would be!:lol

I couldn't disagree more. Look at your Mace. Looks far less like Jackson then her character. I think people are just getting spoiled. I will agree that the costume could have better fabricks and such. However the likeness is fine.

Yeah, I'm spoiled. What of it!?:lol
I actually think Aayla's likeness is ok, Mace's is too for that matter, it's her proportions and clothes that get the lower grade from me. I just don't think I got my 72 dollars worth on this one.:(

Yup. I agree. The head sculpt is pretty perfect. For that price, we ought to desire better material for her top. In the movies she seems to be wearing leather with specific texture.

Like this? This is Anzik's custom Aayla top. Probably as close to a screen match as you'll find.

Yeah the other body was just custom fodder but here's my Aayla in her spiffy new duds.
Well at least I like 'em better.

The top is definately what takes it down a notch. Anzik's looks much better.

Yep. Looking at a screen shot SS got it right that two materials were used for the top, a fabric for the undershirt and leatherlike stuff for the vest, but there was a definite pattern in the shirt under the vest.

Anzik's looks more like that pattern even though it's not an accurate cloth material.

I'm still not happy with her.
And I have a new problem, the body is extremely lose, the right wrist joint is flopping around a bit.
Anyone else have this issue?

I don't think the head is too big. If you account for the tentacles. Here is a very crude photo shop comparison.

Nope, it's clearly too big. Just look at the proportions of her face, they're too large in comparison to her body, especially when compared to other 1:6 females.
I even compared her head to Sideshow's first two Buffy figures and those are far more accurate in proportion. Aayla's head is more in proportion to Sideshow's female rotocast experiments. :horror

I'm thinking of possibly buying Gentle Giant's Aayla Bust and transplanting that head. The proportions should be much better even though the likeness to Amy Allen is about as close as Sideshow's:

The right wrist was loose on mine, but I used a little hot glue to tighten it up.
Thanks!
I guess mine isn't faulty, they're all like this then.
Saves me from having to send it back for a replacment with another lose right wrist.
Might give that hot glue trick a try.

I pulled the wrist piece completely out and put a little glue right by the peg. Jam it back in and let it dry. Once it's dry, move it around and it should be a little more firm. The good thing about hot glue is that it can be removed if you make a mistake.
