It would be truly worth the purchase, at least for me! This thing makes my 24" Sideshow Maquette look like a kindergarten toy.

Agreed. Hell, they could do a stand that serves as a name plaque identifying what Godzilla it is. That grey stand is just kinda goofy looking, just like the one for their Gigantic Sakai 1999. My Gigantic 2019 shipped today from Japan and when I get it I'm going to go shopping for a better stand, one that is clear.
I’m not crazy about tail off the ground poses anyway so the need for stands makes pieces even less appealing.

The original raw sculpt that was shown last year had the tail resting on the ground. No idea why they made more work for themselves by raising it.
Wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, except this piece fell off my radar immediately after seeing the movie. And before, it was a must-buy.

I guess the way they sculpted the muscle tone, the bulkiness, the beast like design and the sheer size of it really sells the power intent. I think the lighting and shadowing in my shot play a part too.

62 is a very fat suit. I use to think of Godzilla as fat when I was a kid.. And it was because of that film. The 62 Gigantic G is pretty accurate IMO.
