Posted this in the wrong thread, because apparently my brain started the weekend early and shut itself off. So, I'll do this properly now.

I just received my gantry from the waitlist. It arrived in a generic brown shipper box that had a white sticker on it with the model number of the figure. No Hot Toys markings of any kind on the outside. I've been told that it should have come in a Hot Toys shipper. Have any of you that have also received it from the waitlist (if any of you have) received it in a Hot Toys shipper? I've inspected it and found no damage to either the figure or the gantry. There is a dent on the corner of the art box, but other than that everything looks good to me. So I'm inclined to keep it. Are any of you waitlist winners seeing the same thing?

I jumped on the waitlist almost immediately and got a conversion within a couple days. Arrived sealed in original shipper as usual.

Anyway. Is it normal for some of the little rubber hands on the gantry (where the figure’s arms go) to be all jacked up? The way the large pieces fit in the tray there’s not even enough room for the rubber bits to fit without being squished sideways against the plastic. Not a huge deal but I kinda expected better from a $300+ accessory.

Yeah they were jacked up on mine. I put something in there for a few days/week to "pose" them right and they stuck in that position. I agree they're pretty crappy for the price.

My waitlist for this with the gantry just converted. It couldn't be at a worse time for me. But I think if I don't get it now I won't be able to afford it later.

Love the Mark 46, but the charm of the Marks 3 through 7 will never wane — they most closely resemble machines you can wear.

Had HT worked out the scale of their MK3 Diecast it’d be my favorite. The HT MK4 just looks a bit better overall. I think the 1/4 scale MK3 will top them all for me though.

I've come so close to pulling the trigger on the Mark 3 so many times, but I can't get past some of their design choices and the scale.

I don't do quarter scale but that 1/4 Mark 3 looks better every day. :horror

Just wait...once the EG dust settles HT will eventually give the IM Mk III another crack with proper proportions and just bill it as like the MCU 15th anniversary edition or something.

This is what I’m hoping for...

I just got around to putting in the batteries for the gantry lights. A great and unexpected surprise. The lights highlight the contour of the figure more than provide overall lighting for the entire setup. While I am planning on making the gantry a centerpiece in a hall of armor diorama, this little bit of lighting helps a lot in getting the general lighting diagram set up. Here is a WIP shot:

Just unboxed this guy from eBay.
He's still a little drunk...

(cellphone pics for now; can't wait to recreate later. This figure has so much personality!)
