Really? Damn! I'm not a fan of Ani. I guess that speaks to how much you hate Vader. lol

well.. again XM shows great comic look take for SW .. but not my taste as I go for realistic looks..

That Vader looks like a toy coin bank. The Star Wars collectors (and Terminator, Predator, Aliens, etc.) are more interested in accuracy and minute details of the sculpt than comic collectors - this is what XM should take into consideration.

I thought both Luke and Boba Fett turned out great.... XM's Luke portrait is the best I've seen of any Luke statue so far.... In hand I have no complaints about Boba Fett, in fact I got rid of my Boba Fett PF because I liked XM's better.

I’m with you on XM’s Boba Fett and I did the same thing as you in that I got rid of my PF. It’s one of my favorite pieces in my collection behind Prime 1’s Frank Miller Batman. I also have Luke on order and am stoked to get it. Like most, I was not impressed by this Vader set but I have to think it’s the lighting on Vader that makes him look so flat. I trust others on the accuracy or lack thereof. It is interesting to hear that young Anakin is the new favorite considering how bad he looked early on. Perhaps XM focused most of their efforts on improving him?

Got the Vader set. I'm not an expert Vader fan by any means. I can't tell you what helmet is from whichever movie but I Really like this set. Not really sure why so many people hate this piece?
Vader is pretty impressive in person. Very large, solid and really heavy. The Vader statue is about 50 pounds.
I have the Iron Studios Vader too. That one is much nicer cause the pose is really dynamic but this Vader is really nice for a museum pose. I think people that see this in person would probably like it a little more.
The three takes up a lot of space though cause the bases don't fit like a puzzle. They have to go to a lower spot too cause Vader is looking upwards. Overall I'm Happy with the set. It's not like anyone else will ever do another evolution set.

the pose (not the execution) is perfect. pays homage to one of the best scenes in any star wars movie.

I have a feeling this Vader just doesn't take good pictures and probably looks a lot better in hand.... I was tempted to get it but the pictures kept me from pulling the trigger...

Exactly. I don't hate XM Vader, but it is a combo of ROTS and OT Vader. I love this museum poses - even thinking of getting the Koto ANH one that has similar pose - but this XM statue has some issues that make me steer away. Hopefully XM will make a separate OT Vader with a nice pose and better accuracy. Iron Studios is not 100% accurate, but IMO remains way more impressive than XM

Here's some of young Ani. Funny thing is I think this one looks the best of the three. Originally he looked really horrible. But he turned out pretty nice.
I doubt anyone else would ever make another young Ani so it's cool to have at least this one.
