I did like that Filoni honored Lucas' characterization of Anakin by continuing the trend of off-putting opening lines, lol.

I love the part where she tells him you grew more powerful and dangerous than anyone ever knew.

I need a clone wars live action movie with anakin, young ahsoka, kenobi and rex. I'm convinced that would be a billion dollar movie. Make it two movies with one representing the first half of the war and the second the later half. Have grevious in it killing Jedi and collecting their sabers to increase his threat level. Throw in Assaj Ventriss aa well. If you wanna go nuts include Maul and make it a trilogy. You could even end it with the fight between maul and obi-wan on tatooine.
I think this is the best chance of reviving the franchise and getting people in the cinema. It would give us the clone wars at last. Show the bond between Anakin and Obi-wan and Anakin's gradual descent towards the darkside.

True enough. I do think and wish that Disney had made the ST about the original trio of heroes and eased Rey and others into the story, giving them more significant roles as the series progressed, culminating in a handoff to the new characters and opening the door for their own trilogy of movies. That could've worked because I didn't dislike Rey as much as I disliked the lack of respect shown to Han, Luke and Leia...

For his faults I think Filoni is doing an admirable job celebrating the old (TCW flashbacks) while trying to expand the lore (space whales, WBW.) As always though it's damned if you do and damned if you don't, lol.
Space whales is old though, again, for some fans, that's fan service. It would be like bringing "Splinter of the Mind's Eye's" Force Snakes into a story.
Andor for me was the freshest new take on Star Wars... although I get why many people found it not to be very Star Warsy. I think that's why I found it refreshing; it was completely different in many ways. But as a kid I likely would have hated it.
I just wish Star Wars could expand to new adventures, new characters, new worlds... with out constantly having to "nod" to something from the past.

It wouldn't make sense for Luke to show up on Mandalore but it makes a lot of sense for Luke to help Ahsoka find and stop Thrawn.Well then there wouldn't be a show would there? Why not just have Luke show up for Mandalore? Or any other conflict? Because it'd be boring

He defeated Darth Vader and I'm sure Vader is more powerful than Baylan.
I'm not sure that screaming "NEVER!" and then just wailing uncontrollably on Baylan would have quite the same effect as it did on his father...
While it may look kind of cool, the lightsaber fights in the prequels often look like they're trying to hit their lightsaber blade rather than actually trying to injure the other person. Which is true, since that's really what's happening, but it's more style over substance.
