They are out of their mind for that price point, especially with how Anakin and Obi-Wan came out.
It's literally more expensive than the Hot Toys figure. They're smoking crack.

This figure doesn't look very good, but it's not reasonable to compare the price to a figure from a year ago, when even Hot Toys' own pricing is way up from this time last year.

Had the Hot Toys Ahsoka been announced today, it would probably be $280.

Yes it is. The Hot Toys one being $280 wouldn’t stop the Sideshow one from being a ripoff at $260.

Just saying..... constructively and all.....

I think Sideshow jumped the shark with this figure and their 1:6 line - which was already in decline as far as the number of releases go - really went into a downward spiral around that time.

I keep saying it but they’ve been basically all but one foot out the door with 1:6 figures and the level of commitment need for a full scale revival is just not there.

Does anyone else think sideshow is using a Phicen seemless body for this figure like they did with their DC line on Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn? Maybe that’s the price justification? Still too high but could be possible.

That figure was $255 but came with a whole lot more.

Well it sure as heck should’ve been. An animated Clone Wars line is a licence to print money for any company. It could be one of the hottest and most unique lines out there if done correctly. I bet Hot Toys is kicking themselves for not picking up the licence. Such a shame it fell into the hands of these guys. I just can’t fathom how they don’t understand what they have here and the potential. It’s like they thought to themselves it would only be a short-term thing to make a quick buck or two, so just rush a few of the big hitters out for cheap and have done with it. This is a 5 year line at least. Madness.

Yep, I agree. It’s a real shame on multiple levels.

I had reservations from the get go but would’ve considered getting into the line to go with the Sideshow Clones I still have. Felt like a good match up. Only if the figures turned out well, of course. And so far it’s only been a disappointment.

They really would’ve had a market segment all to themselves if the figures were solid. All they had to do was not mess up completely. People would’ve excused some shortcomings, especially for earlier releases. But they really put no effort into actual production, putting out $50 dolls for Hot Toys figure prices.

Sad thing is while collectors who do research will steer clear, there’ll still be plenty of casual collectors and other types of buyers who will purchase or gift these. Not that they’ll fly off the shelves, but they’ll still sell to some degree. Don’t know if the numbers will be worth the cuts they made to the final product in Sideshow’s eyes but we’ll see how it goes.

Objectively this is easily the worst of the prototypes. It looks way too similar to the old Hasbro Forces of Destiny.
