Damtoys is only doing RE2 version though. And I hate their cheap looking paint applications. The eye decals look so lifeless and no definition in the face. Especially on their Leon, the lack of jaw definition makes him look like he got stung by a bee.

Ada and Leon's face models are the same for RE2R and RE4R, so you can always put a third party outfit on them.

I agree that Damtoys paint apps aren't the best but I'll take an imperfect paintjob over a figure that looks like a cosplayer. At least Dam has accurate faces, those 3rd party Adas all scream "unofficial" when I look at them, especially the one with the inflated bazookas. But hey, at least we have options.

I think superduck and swtoys look great for the price. Im not wiling to spend $300 on a product that I will have to bodyswap because damtoys only uses jointed bodies and outfit swap to the re4 outfit. And on top of that has a shoddy paintjob.

That's why I said it's good to have options. I care the most about accuracy, so no matter how good the paint apps are or how cheap it is, if it looks like a cosplayer then I'm not buying it.

And about the quality, I have no problems with Leon, he's great. I hope Claire was a misstep for Dam and Ada will be better. I agree that Claire is not worth the price at all. Ada seems to be delayed, let's hope it's to improve their production after Claire.

I posted about getting my Leon head repainted a little over a month ago here.

I have some sad news. The Royal mail lost my package that I sent to the painter. With 3 headsculpts that I wanted repainted. Track and trace hasn’t had a new update in over a month now. So it seems I just lost $150 worth of goods.

OMG. I just contacted the painter that I was going to open a case with Royal mail just for him to tell me that he did get the package but forgot to tell me! Annoying because I have been checking that tracking page religiously for weeks. Royal mail didnt even mark it as delivered, I paid a pretty penny extra to get their premium tracking service just for them to not even give me proper updates.

Did the RE2 figures sell well enough that both Dam and Nauts are happy with the sales?

Personally I wanna see Iconiq take over and do RE4R and MGS Snake Eater… Their Street Fighter and Silent Hill figures look awesome and both Leon + Ashley will heavily benefit from a specialised TBLeague body with the exposed arms.

Both Claire figures were sold out even before they got released, so that's a good sign. I'm pretty sure those will get a second batch too at some point.
No idea about the Classic Leon figure. But the way it looks, he was a winner as well sales wise.
So I'm rather hopeful for future figures...

Leon sold enough to justify claire, Ada ánd a classic Leon. And I remember there being a lot of hype around him.

If theyre smart they announce him now that the game release is still fresh. But as we know, damtoys take forever to announce anything. Wasn’t there like two years between the announcement of Leon and claire?

Classic Leon is like 90% reused parts and didn’t require a lot of development.

It’s my understanding from what was said on here at the time that Claire and the two classic figures was in the works around the same time as Leon, it just took them insanely long to get approved and go up for order.

Don’t know how many actually cancelled but soo many people was talking about cancelling the Claire figure when they went up.

Yes was a massive gap between Leon and Claire going up for order but technical both come under the original announcement of a RE2 Remake Line.

We haven’t had any announcements outside of RE2 and no figures either… was a lot of hype over a potential RE3 Jill and I know I personally wanted a Village Chris… even Hunk was released under their unlicensed 3rd party brand.

Don’t get me wrong I’d Love a RE4R Leon, just at the very least don’t see it happening any time soon.

Defo getting that Nendoroid… yep hoping that means Capcom is being less stingy and we will see more Merch in multiple scales… I’d be so down for a RE4 Leon figma too.

I also said expression is important… but I also don’t mind the blank expressions since the character models themselves barely emote in gameplay.

As for 1/6 figures it’s hard to get excited without knowing who specifically has the licence to what… for all I know Nauts could be sitting on the RE4 rights hoping for a new partnership!

Similarly I was looking forward to the potential of Dam’s Assassins Creed line so when they lost it to Pure Arts was a bit of a gut punch. Been burned on a lot of licenses so unless I see it up for order or a big announcement, in my eyes it isn’t happening.
