I honestly don't see technology progressing lately. Yeah computers are getting faster but I don't see physical technology like this really getting any better. Hell, we are still using internal combustion engines in our cars.

The great thing about this is not just the hovering, but the laser system that stabilizes the hoverboard even after applying pressure.
Yeah we can't hover around, still a great way to display the hoverboard
