I think their Ma Chao is based on Takeshi Kaneshiro, a Japanese actor.

Could be, but I still think the result looks more like Timberlake. Did Kaneshiro ever play Ma Chao? I know he played Zhuge Liang in Red Cliff.

I am pretty sure they based that face on Kaneshiro.
I don't think he ever played Ma Chao, perhaps inflames started casting their own choice of actors for the role..
