I think some fans overestimate the popularity of the POP faction. The best thing to come from that show was the Horde. They were girls toys in the 80's so I think a lot of male fans have very little nostalgia for those characters. Certainly they have their part in the MOTU mythos but it seems like some fans feel POP should be equal to vintage MOTU and that isn't the case.

I was really annoyed by them... yeah, I called them names, but I couldn't help but call it as I saw it...

Loved the reveals!!
Everything was great except during the panel, where a pair (or was it a trio?) of really rude "fans" decided to interrupt the panel with their entitlement issues, instead of waiting for the Q&A. It was really disrespectful, annoying and completely uncalled for.
Just a few jewels these trolls threw out there were:

"Everybody hates the leotards"... I don't know about you but I didn't get the memo where this guy is entitled to represent all of our opinions...
"You should be grateful that we pay for these things"... What?? really? I don't think Mattel will sweat it if we stop buying MOTU... seriously that was a moment...
Another jewel was: "Castle Grayskull is Sorceress' Castle"... I guess I missed on the Press release where Sorceress got the deed for Grayskull...

It was awesome when a few guys yelled: "Shut up, Castle is great"... priceless!!


But anyway, overall the experience was great!
And it was bigger than last year! Cannot wait for the next one!!

To the people defending the trolls at the Matty panel...
The problem is not that they don't like certain things or that they want things changed...
The issue here was the inappropriate way they expressed themselves INTERRUPTING the panel, YELLING, and being RUDE...
THAT'S what bothers people... You have the right to express your opinion, but they decided not to wait for the Q&A and started yelling in a very disrespectful manner that was completely out of place and uncalled for.
If you cannot control yourself over something like toys, you might need to reevaluate your priorities.
It was annoying, rude and childish.

Some people take their sense of entitlement to the extreme, and this was a prime example of it.
They sounded like sour grapes, spoiled brats, demanding their toys just because.
And the worst part was that for some misplaced sense of self righteousness they said they were speaking on behalf of ALL fans...
which is in itself completely delusional and ridiculous...

Again, you're entitled to your opinion and it's not WHAT they said it, it was HOW they said it.
It sounded more like a RANT rather than constructive criticism.
Also, it's pretty obvious these guys have NO idea of how production processes work, and anything related to corporate environment.

Anyway... These clowns wanted attention, and that's what they are getting, their 5 minutes of fame...

I didn't get the memo where these guys represent us all. I have NO problem with any of the female trunks...
People do not understand how things work behind the scenes, and that's a FACT.

And you know what? Right after the panel, I heard at least 10 different people telling Ruben and Scott that they didn't have an issue with the trunks and not to worry about them.
I am not arguing about what looks better or not... I am saying that me and lots of people don't have a problem with it.
I am all for improvements, but ranting about is NOT going to help...

These are leisure items. Collecting MOTUC is a hobby and it's meant to be fun.
If people get so worked up about TOYS, maybe they should reevaluate their priorities?
People like these guys, suck the fun out of MOTUC and ruin it for everyone else just to have things done their way. There's not a SINGLE valid reason to grant such a behavior from anyone.

Don't like it, don't buy it, simple as that! It's awesome that we have a CHOICE with these toys, isn't it?

When they decided to put themselves in the spotlight with their antics, they should've realized that not everybody agrees with their childish point of view.

I was sitting 2 rows behind them and believe me, it was bad form and uncalled for.

How else would you call someone that INTERRUPTS a panel yelling instead of AT THE VERY LEAST waiting for the Q&A to make a scene?

People told them to shut up twice and even booed at them, I seriously was 2 seconds away of calling security on them. If they cannot function*in the real world and abide by common sense and adult behavior they should not go to these type of events. They yelled at Scott and Ruben again after the panel while TG was putting the reveals on the display case... Honestly in my opinion they should've been escorted out of the Con...

What TUC138 calls bravery in this particular case I call "attention-seeking disorder" to put it mildly...

Folks, it's all fine to discuss the design decisions, their pros and cons, etc., but please refrain from calling other fans 'brats', 'clowns', 'haters', etc. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, provided it is given respectfully. And if you disagree with the actions of people at a panel, you are welcome to do so, but without the name-calling.

Let's keep it on-topic and friendly.

At least two people told them to "shut-up" ,not me, but I was about to when people booed them, so they finally cut it out... I did tell them that Grayskull was perfect, so did another guy behind me. These hecklers will get no sympathy from me, they nearly ruined the panel for everyone...
Besides, they continued with their uncalled for behavior after the panel at Mattel's booth. Why they didn't get booted off the show is beyond me.
Two things could happen thanks to this "fans"
- Mattel will no longer take part on events like this
- If they do, questions will be screened (I think it should be done, just like SDCC)

That way we avoid embarrassing moments like this one, where fans, families, kids and everyone can have a good time instead of putting up with characters like these...

After that, I moved on and started talking about how awesome Castle Grayskull was:

I hope they aren't allowed in @ next year's PowerCon, these are the type of people that give toy collectors a bad name. Self entitlement issues at it's worst!

Finally, my last post was this, which turned out to be true, since you can barely hear their ranting:

Unfortunately if a video ever surfaces, since the audience didn't have a mic, most likely you won't hear the ranting... or perhaps we will, since they were yelling at one point.

Look, I am not saying people shouldn't voice their opinions on issues, and freedom of speech has nothing to do with it, since it only applies to government entities not restraining it, but that's another story. My issue here is that these hecklers decided that their personal opinions were more important than everyone else who was sitting in that room. And decided to interrupt several times during the panel with their entitlement issues.
It was the rudeness, and lack of respect that I have issues with... and if the video appears, you most likely won't hear the ranting because these guys didn't have a mic on them... thankfully!

But keep defending them, I am sure a lot of people will applaud their questionable behavior.
Again, I for one have no sympathy for their rudeness and tantrums...
And that's the last I am commenting on this, to much time is being spent on things that are NOT worth it...
