MAFEX Robocop 1/12 scale

My figure arrived today even though it was only despatched on Monday!

Some quick shots.

I don't have the regular R2 release, but this release looks great and I think captures the blueish/purple hue the suit had in the film. Still wish it had the helmet and neck swaps.

The damaged torso is great too, but only the head and neck are movable.

I just pulled out the box for my Battle Damaged Robo to switch out his Auto-9 for the Cobra cannon.

I'm looking all over the place and can't find the instructions. What the hell did I do with the instruction manual?

Then I realized....for some reason this guy didn't come with instructions. Right? Or am I crazy?

Is the R3 Jetpack version any different than the R1 release in terms of quality? I'm looking to get just one of the Mafex and I'd prefer the R1 look and the newer R3 seems to fit the bill. Or should I just track down the R1 figure instead? Thanks!

R3 is basically the same if you can live without the battle damage parts of R1.

Thanks guys! Yeah I don't mind not having the BD, I just want a higher end Robocop figure that doesn't give me the anxiety of breaking when I pose it.

The Mafex is a wonderful figure. The best price/accuracy ratio IMO.
If you’re not blocked on 1/6 scale and don’t want to spend 400$ for a figure with an inaccurate paint, the Mafex is the best option.

The RoboCop 2 paint looks a bit garish in daylight, I think that was better suited to the lighting in the movie. I like the more subtle look from the first movie more as an overall look. Might consider getting a loose Murphy head though, just so I can go for a final "Murphy." look if I ever feel the need.
