I get the love for this license and I am as easy going as anyone on judging a figure, but that paint looks like early SS.

Yeah, i think the sculpt likeness is there (albeit a little older), that's not necessarily the problem.

But the paint job look like SSC quality from at least a decade ago (as others have mentioned).

Yeah, I’m loving this! I need that exclusive version.

Whatya guys figure the shipping from Italy is gonna be, though? Especially with a heavy glass mug included. That “gift” might ending being pretty expensive.

I don’t want to think about the shipping cost haha

I think shipping will be more than 50+ Euros.

As a test, I put the 1:6 Peter Sellers EX figure in my Cart and shipping was 50 Euros - roughly $50 US? Shipping is free only in Italy.

Now I need to ask myself whether it's worth approx. $100 more for the EX (1:1 file, numbered box & mug). 🤔
  • Deluxe = $388 @Timewalker (free shipping, no tax)
  • Exclusive = $475 @Infinite Statue (approx. after shipping)

Regular:
Figure, accessories, small base.

Deluxe:
(Regular) + ⅙ file, Laura, large base

Exclusive:
(Deluxe) + 1/1 scale report/dossier in a different artwork box that’s handnumbered

All versions from the infinitestudio site come with the mug.

Thanks for the clarification.

I assume the 1:1 report/dossier are some cheap reproduction photocopies.

For example, are the Laura Palmer photos printed on actual photo paper or laser-printed on regular xerox paper?

I'd love to add a Coop to my shelf, but I'm having a really hard time with the likeness overall. Is it possible that this is one of those figures that will look better in hand than in photos?

Yes, thank you for doing the research!

I think I can settle for the deluxe all things considered. The mug I don’t care about, the dossier, while cool, isn’t really important and the box is a box. MAYBE if it were limited to 25-50 numbered, I’d be more likely to jump on it, but sometimes you gotta pick your battles.

I’m unsure, but I imagine they’d try to use a quality photo paper. Can’t quite tell from the video how glossy it looks, there’s a shimmer so maybe a satin or matte photo paper.

They likeness looks better in the video lighting, I’d still prefer a little more colour in the lips and around the eyes at the very least.

The pics from Dario, that show the sculpt from different angles and in different lights gave me some hope. Considering the sculpt will be softer and with a lighter paint, it should be fine.

With this light, it looks even better and closer to the look in the show.

Looks great. I wish Kaustic Plastik would some figures from "recent" movies, series, or games one day, for us younger collectors in the early 30s.
I think they deliberately take classics.
I wish they made action figures on Casablanca and Rashomon.
I would love to have The Stalker (Alexander Kaidanovsky) from Tarkovsky's film (which is a work of art). And if somebody can produce a character like that it's KP.

Re-watching episodes now. Cooper's trenchcoat is MUCH darker than what they have displayed
Seems to look different in every shot, maybe they had a bunch in different shades?

Probably supposed to be same coat, technically all this happened in the space of a couple of weeks, but first is from FWWM, second is from season 2 and last two pretty sure are from the pilot. Plus his skin tone is different in every shot.

The promo seems a bit darker, but pretty close. The lighting is different though. So it may be precisely the same if photoed in the same room.
The second pic seems to fit the color of this session.
