I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just enjoy your figures while you have them and there's always the option to convert him into the BDU if it ever goes bad.

You'll need to lift the stabo harness and check the seam that wraps around the armpit to the shoulders, that's where the hard plastic sinks into the vinyl, making the vinyl crack. HT tried to work around the issue by making him having a fabric suit underneath the armor, but the the armor itself still touches the vinyl if you look underneath the harness.

The only way to have the armor not touch the vinyl is by having the shoulders in a completely neutral pose.
