We'll probably see a Cassian figure at one point. Not sure if I would be interested in that though. I find it hard to like the character. Didn't like him in Rogue One, don't really like him so far in his own show.

We will probably see some troopers being reissued or something.

But, before HT starts with somewhat of an Andor line, I think it's about time they finally announce Cobb Vanth. :tap

Either they can't get the headsculpt right or they are waiting for some form of bionic version from Mando 3 or whatnot...

Female AND an imperial officer? You set your HT release sights high, I can see. This would be a beautiful figure, but you know how HT thinks.
I know what you're saying, but not setting my sights high. Was just thinking that if she is the main protagonist, might be like a Krennic or Reeva situation, but like you said.....you know how Hot Toys thinks. Like I stated, I would like this :
I am hoping for a Death Trooper specialist though.
I don't think Disney can tell HT what to make for the entire line of a show. They for sure can request them to make 1 or 2 figures but not the entire line.
We are all just speculating and enjoying each others thought process for sure. I was just thinking along the lines of Warner Brothers and the Jaoquin Phoenix/Joker merchandise situation where figures/statues were concerned. Iron Studios wanted to do a 1/10 statue of Phoenix, but WB would not allow them or any other manufacturer to produce something that was not of high quality (in their estimation) or over a $1000 USD.
I kind of think it has more to do with Disney's side of what can be licensed and released. In other words, Disney basically tells Howard and the gang what mostly should be produced from the show. With all the trouble with characters likeness and approval, demand, pricing, popularity of the show, competing with other properties and other factors, both Hot Toys and Disney may think that going with helmeted figures is a safe and sure bet for making money.
It's kind of strange to me that Hot Toys would have produced Reeva from the Kenobi Series and not AOTC Anakin and Kenobi. Kenobi more so because of the AOTC anniversary. But again speculation, I'm sure Disney wanted to push the character.
Theyre not going to outright tell them what to make. They can sure keep refusIng to approve a given figure, though.
I just figure when Disney comes out with a movie or show, they do inform which ever manufacturer what can be produced. If a company gets the rights to the Star Wars property and can produce any figure, why didn't they give us Bespin Han instead of The Force Awaken Han? Easy, because that was the latest and greatest thing to come out. I'm sure the merchandising department is thinking they will open new markets and reach a new demographic, so they try to push certain characters.

I’m sure Disney has a hand in what gets produced. I bet it’s a mix between hot toys and Disney. They are probably told to make certain figures to promote the show and hot toys has discretion to make other figures or reissues to recoup costs. That’s probably why the ot and ot figures grinded to a halt when the Disney plus shows started. It’s now a constant promotion cycle, as opposed to a movie every 2 or 3 years.

Along with Cassian, I'm with Crankbaitjon...

I'd be happy with Saw and 2 tubes. I guess we'll be seeing more of them from here on out, now the intro has been made for Cassian.

No one else (other than Stellen) stands out so far. But he isn't a known character and therefore I'd see HT going for Saw and 2 Tubes.

Geez at this point 2 tubes has been in Rogue One, Solo, Rebels and probably other things I've forgotten. He deserves a figure !!!

He'd be so sweet. Perhaps they are waiting for the bionic version, and for all the Fett armour figures to clear ??

But surely a release for next Mando season.
I would bet that this head sculpt reveal means he's coming for sure sooner than later. I can't imagine them working that great of a head sculpt for something they don't release. They could've just kept parading around the helmeted proto forever. This guy is coming soon I tell ya! (trying to speak it into existence...)

Also this is clearly a promo photo for a product listing; they don’t take those images (and give them to Sideshow) unless it’s going up for sale.

There was no reason for them to update the listing with that photo if he’s not coming. I’d bet they’ve already got the figure listed privately on the website ready to go once HT does their usual announcement in the next week or two.

Would love for this to be one of those immediate releases and not an “ Expected to Ship: Dec 2024 - Jan 2025” release.

At this point, he deserves a DX!

This is probably the best case as you stated. If there is or was anything going on at Hot Toys like RandonHero & Crankbaitjon stated in the "NEXT Hot Toys STAR WARS Figure...?" thread, then I thought that Disney would have more say and want more of the face sculpted figures, where Hot Toys would care to do the reissues or helmeted figures.....to a degree. If produce troopers, than they know they can recoup costs (as you say) and make a profit for example.
There’s a rumor I don’t think was ever substantiated, but there was a lot of talk that HT lost a lost of their design team over the last two years. Wouldn’t be surprised if that was why.
They lost some head sculptors. It's just surprising that with the $ they are making, they can't find replacement for those artists. Instead, they spend it on opening more stores. The rent they pay for those stores are $$$$$.
Back to figures. Hope the Cobb Vanth goes up for pre-order before the end of the year. Still want a Greef Karga from Season 1 also.

For the Andor season, I hope they were lying to us and we do get K-2SO. I missed out of course.

I’d prefer to wait a couple of years given the state of things in the UK right now.
Tell me about it. I'll take a long delivery all day long with these EUR & GBP / HKD exchange rates. So they have time to recover.

USD despite it's strength doesn't seem to move far with HKD ??? Don't know why.

Dann. Pretty clear result there with over 5000 votes.

Spot on imo. Disney has really dropped the ball considering how much of a gold mine SW is.

Everyone who put "TLJ" should be taken to the "Addams Family Values" Harmony Hut and forced to watch 10,000 hours of Teletubbies or something, while strapped to a couch.

Funny - I think the folks who endlessly complain about TLJ should be forced to take antidepressants and have to listen to "Let It Go" from Frozen on repeat for the rest of their lives. It's actually quite a merciful way to spare the world of their misery.
