Suited her up... such a great figure. Always been on the fence on getting one more since i ordered the Dafttoys gear.

Absolutely, there are a few things I am going to touch up in the painting and weathering to make it more realistic but for the most part she is amazing.

Yeah I ordered 3 of the Mr. Toys Heads (2 normal - 1 war paint) and the Daftoys suit too. Still not sure what body to get but I bet one of the smaller PHICEN/TBLeague ones will fit the bill....and having a metal endoskeleton seems so right for her.

Right now I have two HT Alitas one in her black suit, and one in just her Berserker body. The normal body is a work of art and it seemed criminal to cover it up so I had to get two. Plus in all honesty I feel like this figure is one of Hot Toys finest pieces they ever made. Every inch of her is sculpted with such detail it is mind blowing. - so I ended up ordering a head for each HT and one head for the Daftoys set up. I am hoping if it is a direct recast the hair piece might be swappable.

BTW - KGHOBBY sent my notice that my Damascus Metal Blade has shipped. So I will post pictures and compare it with the plastic HT one.

Nice setup!! And agreed!! Indeed I also feel I wouldn't want to suit her up so I'm planning to use the black suit with a trench coat and one of the upcoming third party head sculpts on a spare P/TBL body. Nice motorball Alita statue, come to think of it, a MB Alita figure would be cool too!!

I would love a motorball outfit, some roller blade feet and a helmet for the HT head. I would jump all over that. Some of these 3rd parties could probably make it as a $100-$125 kit. First day preorder if it would ever happen.

It's weird how much Alita merch we missed out on. No figures from Neca, Mezco, MaFex, etc. I've said for a couple years now how awesome in depth a Neca line could have been, imagine a big Grewishka with wired grind cutters you could pose.

There were no cheap Trends International posters that every other movie gets, no high quality art prints from Mondo, not even any cheap retail figures from a company like Hasbro.

I know....when there have been so many properties out that did get that treatment and it truly was not warranted or honestly not even wanted by collectors. I think with Alita they had no idea the fan base behind the manga. Which is still there - also Alita box office was not anything to sneeze at - it just was not Marvel movie numbers.

Alita was $170 Million to make and it grossed over $405 Million as of July 2019 (plus more $$ since DVD/Blu Ray/4K sales) - So Alita was not a flop by any standard and a sequel was planned but... now with Disney owning the property who knows what will happen - if you look on the back of your Hot Toys package you will see the Mickey ears - there is no telling what the mouse will allowed to be made for us collectors or to be licensed for that matter. Also with Disney there is no telling what the license will cost. I know most companies say license deals with Disney can be a nightmare to pursue. Makes me think of South Parks take on Disney every time I hear about them as a corporation. [emoji23]

Thank god for MR Toys and Daftoys for making stuff outside that realm. I know people hate 3rd party and unlicensed items and I get it, but sometimes it is the only way a product, character, or item will see light of day. Also 9 times out of 10 the person behind it is not looking to make bank but are making it because it is something they wanted too, that they knew would never get made unless they did it.

My current display because that statue is just too tall for the detolf.....

I just love these figures. I could just stare at the pair for hours. Cannot wait until Mr Toys heads come out....the real hair brings something out of them that will make them perfect.

Thank you, the artwork is 2 of the 3 different limited prints that came with the Alita hardcover manga boxset - which I highly recommend...the artwork and story is amazing. Those two prints have metallic silver ink in them so at different angles they really pop but super hard to photograph, just a very odd size at 7 x 10.

Got my Damascus blade, like it a lot. For those wondering about weight it is not an issue. This sucker is light as a feather. I have pictures of the metal one and Hot Toys version side by side and it is hard to chose which one looks better. The metal one has a blue hue to the blade. Also the blade is not solid metal as the handle hilt on it is a plastic/vinyl material. I am glad a got it but is it a must buy?? Not really because from a foot or two back you really are going to be hard pressed to know which is which.
