So what do you guys think the odds are that HT will make a bespin escape version of this given that they can easily repurpose the hoth jumpsuit and the gown versions head with some new shoes and an e11 blaster ? Thats the version I'd ideally want I passed on the hoth and am hesitant to get the gown because I know as soon as I do they'll drop an escape version

I think it will happen, but who knows? Hoth Leia is getting more and more expensive, so maybe better take her now, and you can always sell her later if a Bespin escape is released, dunno.
I thought there was a pretty good chance it would happen after the Bespin dress version was released, but at this point, unless it's a "convention" exclusive, I don't see it happening. I waited on buying Hoth Leia for ages and watched the prices skyrocket, so I decided to jump on creating a Bespin escape version before the Bespin head price skyrockets as well. If HT does decide to release it, I may sell off the custom version I have.
I was initially disappointed by the Bespin head (especially the eyes) and preferred the Hoth version (I was also going to have her wielding a lightsaber), but with a Stormtrooper blaster in hand, I think it looks pretty great. Picking up all the different components has made this a pretty expensive figure (and I still need to find a permanent set of boots), but given this is my favorite Leia look in the movies, I couldn't quite let the opportunity pass me by.

Your custom looks great! I'm glad I had Hoth Leia for retail, day one preordered. I'm thinking on getting the Bespin version, since she's going for cheap, (with the current prices, getting only the head doesn't make sense). This way I could do all three versions - Hoth, Bespin Gown and Bespin escape- combining them. What boots did you use?

Thanks! I passed on Hoth Leia back when it was below retail and had to pay a lot more when it sold out, and that's not a mistake I want to make again. Given the current prices, it does make more sense to get the whole Bespin gown figure. I really like the Bespin dress and considered just buying that version to represent Leia, but at the end of the day, I like the white jumpsuit more.
For the boots, I borrowed the ones from ANH Leia for the picture. I had to return them to their rightful owner, so I'm on the hunt for a loose pair. Currently, I have her posed with the grey Hoth boots (which isn't a terrible look until I get the right footwear).

Thanks! I forgot about the ESB anniversary re-releases they were doing, so in that context, maybe they could release a Bespin escape Leia this year. I don't think it'll be a wide release though, probably a summer exclusive. If nothing's announced by then, I think the chances are pretty low of an actual release.
All this talk about Bespin Gown and Escape clothes has made me realise that Vader was so honoured that they could join him on Bespin, that before putting Leia in the cell with Chewie and 3PO, he had her escorted back to her room so that she could change clothes.

Thanks. I was shocked by how well that head and Rey body work together. Of course, now I have a headless Hoth Leia sitting in my display. Time to find a Bespin Leia and make an escape version.

looks great. i did the same thing. i made a custom pair of boots since i couldn`t find a pair that looked good enough. i would take a photo but my phone is on the fritz.
I haven't rotated the hands in a while on my Leia Hoth but don't recall any issues.
Because the wrists are so thin, pretty much any female body including HT can develop a small split at the end of the wrist where the two sides of the molded plastic divide or crack along the mold seam line, making the wrist joints loosen up.
Check it with a magnifying glass and if it divides then pull the sleeve back, open the divided wrist seam and drop a tiny amount of superglue, then release so it pinches together and glues.

Thanks I?ll have a look at that then. They don?t fully fall out but the hands can?t hold a pose without the support of the other hand, very loose and floppy which is quite annoying.

Very nice pic! Maybe the colour temp on Leia could be shifted slightly to the cooler end of the spectrum to match the background, but it looks great![emoji106]
