I wonder if there's going to be a backlash yet again if it wasn't fixed. Like with Tony's HS with the Mark 85.

Of course there will be a backlash and of course not everything will be fixed. I’m betting that the star on the chest is a bit bigger, chain mail more defined and shoulder straps changed back to the accurate ones. BD Shield will still be strapped up wrong, also still plastic shield, “Peggy Compass” will still be too small, no definition in traps but I do like the 3rd/newest mouth plate. It is very Chris Evans Cap:

I just don't like their Cap sculpt. That picture you posted is a perfectly example of it not looking great.

There's better ones out there and it's kind of a bummer to see Hot Toys not nail his likeness down after doing it so many times.

Their unhelmeted sculpt has been better overall but boy does their helmeted/mask sculpt miss the mark by a long shot. It's weird because I feel like they don't take the eyes of their unmasked sculpt and transfer it to your helmeted/mask. They seem to be using something else. Really weird decision but that's kind of the norm with Hot Toys.

Everyone seems to be loving this despite it looking a bit off. Funny how that works. 85 sculpt got ripped apart but this...this gets a pass I guess.

Thank you! He is finally out and I'll probably see him next month. The sculpt looks good a bit soft in some areas but overall I'm satisfied.

I'll wait for some real in hand pics and not Photoshop enhanced ones and I'll decide. I can always get another Jaxon Cap sculpt and paint it, since Hot Toys seem unable to nail him, but if they fixed the bigger mistakes of the D23 figure, it could be my last Cap. Oh, unless I pick the 2012 one. Or another reissue. Or...

Yikes, our worst fears confirmed. They phoned it in with this lazy release...they didn't bother updating the chest piece and kept it with the simple/cheap slap-on piece, the star is still undersized, the Peggy compass is still underscaled, the cheap vinyl material instead of fabric is now a mainstay I'm afraid, and that Val Kilmer headsculpt likeness ain't Mk 85 bad, but it's also not that great either.

Overall this is exactly what I expected from lazy HT, so I'm not overly disappointed.

The Civil War Cap remains superior, so this is an easy PASS! Maybe they'll do a better job on the inevitable BD version of this.

Are we sure that's the final product version that customers actually receive and not the bait-and-switch HT uses to lure us in with? Cause JC Hong has definitely posted photos of headsculpts he painted that was absolutely not reflective of the final product.

Good lord this looks good. Besides the star on the chest, I’m good with everything. Headsculpt looks amazing. Can’t wait to get this and the inevitable battle damaged version.
