I am trying to put together a custom movie Rogue figure to go with my other figures. But I am undecided on what 1/6th head to use as a base. A few of them seem like they could have a Anna Paquin likeness with some small paint tweaks (before changing the hair). Which of these does everyone think could be the closest to her face? or does anyone have any other ideas of ones to use?

I would say bottom right. The hair and eyes are the right colour. I used a Phicen Sunny head with a repaint of her eyes and lips and a re-hair by Shane Poole but I don't know how easy it would be to find one now.

Ron Thompson has recently showcased a Paquin sculpt which I ordered along with the Rachel Weisz sculpt. When they arrive I will send them off to be painted and we'll see how they turn out.

Updated my Angel. Decided to customize a suit reminiscent of his old comic suits instead of the X trilogy suit. Still have some tweaks but I like it until I can find something else better.

Anna Paquin Rogue and Rachel Weisz Psylocke have arrived. The sculpts are a bit rough and ready with a few imperfections in the hair, but pretty decent. Rachel's hair is a bit quirky as it is free floating but that will leave plenty if room for the uniform.

I never picked up the toys era quicksilver figure cause I wasn’t a fan of the head sculpt or the costume for him. But I picked it up recently to use for my Iceman custom and I think it looks pretty cool. Fits in with the esthetic of the more comic looking figures form that movie.

A bit classier. Looks good! The only issue I have with Angel is that I preferred his blue suit!

I thought about making it blue but with Cyclops suit being blue, Beast’s suit being blue, Mystique’s suit being blue, and Iceman’s suit being blue I wanted to have more variety in the colors.

Wow! Got these on OSK’s Facebook page. Last pic shows his 4 horsemen. I wonder if they will release those as well? I need Storm, and potentially Archangel. Looks good so far.

Yes that would be very interesting, although we already had Psylocke. I'm more of a fan of the original comic Horsemen - so I might get Archangel but otherwise would look to make customs for Pestilence, Famine, and War.

I am selling most of my X-men/Marvel but would not be against the 4 HM. The movie sucks and I dont see the likeness in this one.

I actually really liked the opening scenes where they trapped Apocalypse. A movie where that was the finale, I could have gotten behind. For me, they screwed up Angel's most iconic story by turning him into an emotionless special effect (impressive choreography but absolutely no characterisation). I think they were competing with Captain America - Civil War, which was why they recruited X-men as the horsemen without horses but for my money, actual horsemen could have felt so much more threatening and would not have competed with the actual X-men for airtime. Apocalypse felt like Apocalypse when he was fighting for control of Xavier's mind but I didn't really like the random suite of insta-death powers they gave him otherwise.

Don't make the X-men's powers too off the charts, then you don't have to make the villains off the charts! I hope the MCU has realised that. The X-Men should be one notch (two at most) above the street level heroes. Keeping Jean's telepathy nebulous, keeping Storm's powers broad and unfocused like in X1.

It doesn't bother me if this Apocalypse doesn't look exactly like the one on screen. I think it's a decent enough movie version for me. Whether it will get made - who knows!

For my own personal tastes, I think I would still prefer to sculpt scales on a hard plastic body and paint it. I don't mind visible joints.
But it's gonna be a looooot of work. I don't know...

Do you know if the Toys Era Mystery body is blue under the suit ?
I saw Xman1990 did an interesting job on a body page 104

The toys era mystique body was all blue underneath, the whole body ie joints ect I was really surprised and after trying to paint a full body blue before I only had to do the scale details on the toys era which I made from gel glue and followed a pattern I found from prosthetic pieces on an image from x1 Rebecca, the Lawrence head needed darker eyes and more scales adding to look more like Rebecca.

I was really hoping for a toys era storm to add to the set …. We got a soosoo toys Jean and Phoenix base but no storm.

Exactly. Need Storm pronto. If this leads to us getting at least a Storm I’ll be happy. Knowing the market they will most likely make Apocalypse and Magneto then stop. Fingers crossed.
