Yes, Legendary Pictures is owned by a Chinese company, so Dune will get the royal treatment in China, including the best theaters, which some US films don't get.
They'll need it as I bet it has a rough go domestically. Would be good to finish the 2 parter if that is what it is.
 
Saw DUNE on the weekend in IMAX !! Was f##ing epic. Can recommend it to anyone interested in pure Sci-Fi.

Am sure for the typical Marvel going crowd it'll be a headscratcher, but pure cinematic glory imo.

It stays very close to the books which is great. But the cinematography, effects, world building, acting..... all excellent !!

WB had to know this won't be a mega blockbuster. Hence the Cannes release to critics.

Part 2 has to be made, the way it ended it makes no sense not to do Part 2.
