Hey everyone!

I’m rather new to this site but figured it was a fun place to share customs. I’ve spent the better part of the last 25 years collecting but at the 1/12 scale. 1/6 is new to me but I’ve fully leaned into it.
Anyways, comments and critiques welcome and I’m happy to share whatever recipe you’d like (assuming I can remember)!

First up, my main man Kyle Katarn! He’s never going to get any love from a 1/6 company but for those of us old enough to remember firing up Dark Forces, he’ll always be a legend.

I went with pre-DF2 Kyle. Eventually I’ll tackle that version. So for this one, I tried my best to reference the one or two in game cutscenes, an infamous Topps card of him loaded to the brim, and a realistic actor headsculpt.

I took the head from a Kyle Reese kit by Scott Petterson. Base is by display heroes. Boots and bandolier from HT Mando. Coat is HT Finn. Blasters from assorted SS/HT figures and the Bryar pistol was a custom cast from an eBay seller. Pants and shirt from eBay and chest armor from a HT snake eyes.
I took some creative liberty and sometimes swap in HT death Trooper hands to match the game. Anyways, hope you all enjoy!

Great work! Katarn was one of my absolute favorite EU characters. I wish they'd bring him back into the current cast in some way. He'd be a great supporting character in Andor.

Great job! Loved that series of PC games, too. You'll have to eventually give him a lightsaber.

Next up is a Garindan. Honestly, the hasbro isn’t bad. I still swapped the body, added some WW2 boots, and gloves from a Jon Snow. The larger cloak is nondescript and from an eBay seller. I’ll keep playing with him here or there, I mainly just wanted him to go with my sandy in the detolf! Also, base by display_heroes.

Next up, Han and Chewie. It’s a Jnix head (Han) and a BDR modified jaw on Chewbacca. Nothing huge, and I’ve seen it done before, but the set looks great and are still some of my favorite figures.

It’s matched to a HT ANH. I’m gonna try it on a TTM body as well - I’ve done a rough eye test with this other head (it’s my Mando-era Han) and it’s basically identical on both bodies.

Up next - Mando Season 3/BOBF Season 2 Han.

Head by Inigo, paint by Silent Surfer.

I never really understood the hate that this head sculpt got - it looks perfect to me for a Han Solo/Harrison circa 5/6ABY/1988/1989. Harrison had this kind of hairline by then too. Anyways, hope you enjoy!
