Hi Freaks.
I've had a few forum members recently ask me how I made the
adjustible shelves for my detolf's, so I thought I would start a
thread explaining the process.
This is just one of two mod's i want to show you guys and if
any other freaks want to share their ideas for lighting and other
shelving mod's please post it here.
Thanks

Mod..No#1
For the adjustible shelves you will need some stainless steel rod
5mm thick by 34cm long.
Bend each end at 90 degrees at 17mm in. hope that makes sence.
When you have done this the total length of the rod will now be
30.6 cm long
Now you will need to grind down 3mm at each end to make it flat

Make sure the finished length of the rod is 30cm. The grinding is just
to make ziptieing to the existing rods easier.
Hope this helps you guys.

Ok Mod..No#2
This is a great mod to make your detolf look fkn' sweeeeet
dont know why I didn't do it ages ago.
I pulled my detolf apart today and measured the rear glass panel
and replaced them with mirror.
The total cost for this was $100AUD = $81.47US for the pair.
Here are the exact measurments you will need to give your glazier.
Length = 157.5cm
Width = 38.5cm
Thickness = 5mm
Before & after shots

Hope these mod's have helped you guys.
Please post any other cool ideas and feel free to ask any questions.

The glass is sweet ! I wish I could afford to do that ! What a difference !

Then maybe I would not mind adding lights.

is the tension on the zips enough to hold heavier items (pfs etc...) or are you still using the original cross bars for those?

I'm using the original cross bars for the PF'S.
The zips have some good strength but I wouldn't recomend putting
anything to heavy on them, I just put my smaller busts on those
shelves to fill in the space.

I personally wouldnt trust zipties with my shelves, but I like the mirror idea.
