It's really nice to see a company covering something completely new like this. If anyone's looking at this and interested but not sure how the in-hand figure would compare to the prototype, I've got a couple of Coomodel's samurai and the quality is just wonderful.
 
They've also decided to release a cheaper version without the mail.

In fact I don't think they were wearing the mail in this period (i.e, September 1683).

Cuisses had also gone out of fashion with the hussars, though some were still wearing them.

I think the red tunic is a re-use from one of their other figures, and as such is too short to portray the red woollen kontusz, so it makes the figure look like he's wearing a mini-skirt, especially with the cuisses underneath instead of over the top.

The way they show the armour on the rack it looks like the cuisses should be able to be positioned over the 'kontusz'.
