Starting to paint up my Rustyj Gonk kit. Trying to replicate the vintage Kenner colors.

Ha, I'm actively working on my rustyj gonk kit at the same time (I made the mistake of trying to make the legs articulated .) Mine is aiming for the sandcrawler version, but would love to see a Kenner style version of rustyj's kit.

Interestingly, the Kenner power droid was based on a dark repaint of a Mos Eisley streets gonk (the gonk Hasbro recently used for their power droid modern reissue) that was in a cut scene from a Death Star corridor, though I only have B&W pics of the scene so you can't tell exactly what color it was - dark blue or black (could be either.)
