Are you crazy?? You have to latch every button?? Anyway, impressive outfit, with all those complex layers, and the final fit is very tight!

I didn't expect that. :panic:

I have a DiD buttonhook which is a miracle tool, but it comes down to how well the buttons are stitched on whether it could be safely used on this.

Definitely just going for the standard version with this. The lightup flame base is a cool idea but looks cheesy as hell the way they executed it.
Agreed, although I’m wondering if the pegs can be used the other way round - so he looks like he’s leaping backward with his pistol and “flaming on” 🤔

Always courting damage when you have to cram a sculpt into a helmet too, a separate helmeted head better scaled would have been the way to go

That front panel on the jacket looks a little unsightly with the small protrusions showing from underneath - I’d be tempted to get cut down a small piece of cardboard or similar to place behind it to give it a smooth appearance…

It was the zip pull that stood out to me, and thought about snipping it off. It serves no purpose as I always work 1/6 zips with my fingernail. That was a tip I read somewhere a long time ago, because the toggles are supposedly liable to break off during use.

The real jacket bib was a bit wrinkly, but it was that toggle that looked too obvious.

They did improve the helmet shape but, It's unfortunate that the helmet turned out so oversized. I'd never display the figure without the helmet or with a giant one. Everything else looks great though. It'd be salvageable if someone has a 1/6 3-D printed helmet head that I could replace it with, but I won't pick this up as is.
This is a screen used costume for reference:

As soon as he's alongside the big helmeted Commando Cody the size probably won't seem so off. :lol

Timing's still tricky with that pair. Maybe eleven years after Cliff Secord found Howard Hughes' rocket pack and it's designs were burned, Dr Millard and Jeff King recreated a version of it? Only this time they decided not make a helmet "Like a hood ornament."

It's been too long since I watched the movie. Popped up Disney+ and was welcomed by this:

Absolutely didn't recall they recreated parts of Ennis House for the film. At the time I probably didn't even know what that was!

Saw it in the cinema when it came out and I couldn't get into it because it felt like something was missing. Felt that way with every DVD re-watch... until last night when something finally clicked and for the first time I actually found myself engaged with it.

I had to look up Ennis House, but it was ringing bells: House on Haunted Hill!

Bummer about that helmet. Had they just made a more well proportioned helmet sculpt along with the other portrait to swap out this would have been nearly a home run. As is I don’t think I’ll bother with it.

My other nits are the big, glossy gold buttons and the “real” laces. Give me a molded plastic, split cut boot any day as opposed to something somebody trying to do 1/6 shoe laces. They never look good.
