Denuo Novo (who I've never heard of BTW) just listed a 1/1 Batman 1989 cowl for pre-order. Limit to 500 pieces. According to their website, it's created using 3d scans of the screen used cowl.

Anyone have any experience with this manufactucturer?

I'm pretty sure Denuo Novo is Anovos after they were acquired by Neca's parent company? After Anovos went under/getting bought out for taking pre-orders and not delivering product and getting sued. Haven't kept up with that saga lately so not sure if Denuo Novo is actually delivering products or what the quality is like

Makes me think to the HCG one I’ve bought back to 2015 if I remember correctly, which was in fiberglass and got more an idealized «statue» feel. It was limited to 750 pcs wordwilde with the emblem molded on the one wore by Keaton.

Denuo Novo seemed have took the route of the silicone replica which seems a little bit more accurate on the texture and wearable.

but remember have paid about 600€ the HCG, which was already pricey for a full fiberglass product.

Don’t know if I would risk to put 900€ in a silicone product. How the silicone would last over the years…

EDIT:

it looks like it’s in platinum silicone. Platinum silicone is a lot more expensive and durable than urethane.

But still that price…:(

Yeah it's not cheap, and in theory there shouldn't be any durability/long term issues, but who knows? I guess any material can degrade if not properly painted/maintained so no guarantees either way

Honestly, as a die hard Batman 89 fan, I can’t deny that it is awesome and really looks the real thing.
But spend quite 1K for something that risks to look like this after a few years…

For 4-500$ I could take the risk but at 1K…

And love so much the Batwing inspired display stand of my HCG.

I just want to say that it isn't based on a 3d scan for those that care about lineage. It's been sculpted in zbrush using photo reference, which is pretty much what every other company would do.

"Sculpted in a digital format from references of the original screen-used cowl"

Yeah that’s what gives me big pause considering the price tag. Just from the pictures it looks a little glossed over or idealized as far as the texturing goes. I would guess none of the original cowls are in good enough condition for even a scan to really turn into a great replica though anyway. I have a few Anovos helmets that I like quite a bit but even those were scanned from the originals and can be a little off (their Kylo Ren is definitely undersized).

Now, if someone gets a hold of one of the original molds and releases a cowl made from that, I would definitely be in.

I am almost positive the scans were done from this cowl that Tom Spina worked on a few years back.

I don’t know about this. That cowl looks pretty rough.

Yea the cowl already looks like one that's been sitting in the archives for years starting to decompose. The ears look pretty droopy/soft already.

I considered this cowl but I ended up getting the PureArts version.

I read PureArts is not completely accurate because they scanned the original but took their own artistic license with certain areas - for me, it's good enough.

Plus, the material PureArts uses is supposedly much more durable and I like the base better - also, it comes with the bonus batarang.

What is this?? I am very concerned.

Seriously…?

IMO, you should better order a fanmade cowl from Reevzfx for example.
Half the price and a perfect replica.
