I miss Bill. He really stole every scene he was in.

I actually googled the 4K Abyss this week. It was confirmed as coming this year by Jon Landau but zero since.

^ It’s criminal this hasn’t had a HD release. We were going to watch the dvd with the kids but couldn’t get the right aspect ratio to display. Frustrating as hell.

There's a great fan upscaled and remastered version of The Abyss Directors Cut in full 1080p on the net made about 5 years ago. I downloaded it back then and watched that with my kids over my official DVD set. There's also a 1080p Theatrical cut rip that was aired on Amazon too.

I too am patiently waiting for the official 4k disc of The Abyss and True Lies. Two movies I love.

Finally got round to watching this, yep it was pretty much as I expected. Mostly beautiful and stunning CGI, a little more emotion than I thought, not bad
