I’m not expecting anything in January because there’s some supposed embargo on shipping I keep seeing about that has next to nothing moving out of Asia- then it’ll be Chinese New Year and that’ll result in even longer delays.

Plus, they have their hands full with the backlash on the Evil Dead figure now, so I'm sure they'll put that first to try to snuff out that fire before going through the trouble of getting us our freebies.

Obviously I do support Asmus and hope to see more LOTR from them, but they kind of needed this kick in the ass. They've been making a lot of improvements over the last two years and I liked seeing that. But there's also been some issues that shouldn't have been happening, and I'm hopeful that they're going to re-evaluate their quality control and customer service as a result of this fiasco.

I am hopeful that after the dust settles they will announce a few LOTR figures and ensure they are PERFECT before release to get some good will back with the community, because they need it as a company.

Yeah I'm gonna be honest, if they're willing to backpedal that hard Ash for fixes, they could have gone back on the staff or hat.

Yeah, I was thinking about the hat myself. I would imagine that would have been cheaper to fix than most of the stuff they need to fix for Ash. And, it would have been a really solid PR move. Hell, I would have been happy contributing like $10-15 towards the hat/staff fix if they put it up for sale to make up some of the replacement part costs.

This is going to be a defining moment for them. Let's hope they come out ahead.

I am not sure if Rovi has posted this image we did a while ago.
There is actually an easy way to fix the hat bug.

If you remove the hat lid on the inside, you could actually jam the head into the hat a whole lot more,
and it will look normal.

I think the lid causes the problem.
