I thought the only parts that were fading were the flexible ones (arms and straight legs). Looking at my G/S set, it's the bendy vinyl-ish bits that are fading. The crouching legs are hard plastic and haven't faded at all. Maybe that's why?

The strange is that some had the body fading too, but mostly only arms and legs. It would be good to know what happened.
I'm wondering was there anyone who left it in the box and experienced fading?
Those who left it in box how often do you check the health of your Gollums? Jokes aside, I cannot do anything else but check them regularly... Hopefully it won't start fading two years from now.

I hope no one will report fading of the replacements...

i bought the deluxe pack, and only opened one.
The unopened figure faded just as fast as the opened one.
Asmus did make it right though.

Was cheking my Gollum. The body is fine, but I noticed that the tip of his nose is too plain (probably it was cut somewhere during production). I suppose it's only on my head, right?

Mine looks good... On yours first I thought it is nose rub, but recently regarding the Rogue figure I've read something interesting about a similar nose issue - they used hairdryer on the figure, which fixed the nose, without touching it. I'm not sure if it would help here or if it can damage this figure...
It is not that pointy nose, it's rather round.

Hello! I bought Smeagol for my BD, added him new hair and a couple of strokes for his face.
He lives in my Zen Garden now. I hope, finally this character will be happy, love him so much!

Thank you! I used black yarn for knitting. Only 100% acrylic like this will work because the fibers can be separated and straightened with a hair straightener.
