Just saw this on TNS, though the figure is being billed as an Egyptian god figure, clearly the head is based on the Anubis guard helmet from the Stargate movie.
The helmet looks really accurate and detailed, the arm bands and vambraces seem to be mostly accurate and the greaves also look pretty good to me (aside from the fur tufts).
Its not a direct representation of the movie sadly:
- the helmet and armour are the wrong colour,
- the clothing and loincloth are inaccurate,
- the chest armour is completely wrong (though nice),
- the sword, scales, heart and feather are not from the Stargate character,
- the figure is missing the clawed gauntlet and the Staff weapon from the movie character

The head and most of the pieces seem to be diecast which is great, though this with the other, non-Stargate inclusions has made it a little price-ier than it need be.
Is the figure worth getting for the 1/6 helmet sculpt?
What do we think?
Is there any interest in a similar offering of the Ra and Horus helmet sculpts in 1/6?

Helmet is about 85% accurate to the Anubis helmet from the movie. The ears should be straight.
The shoulder armour/chest piece looks better, as does the upper arm and the belt.
The boots are salvageable too.
This piece could be used to make a reasonable facsimile of Anubis from the movie. But you'd need to make all the cloth parts yourself and probably use a seamless body for it.

Well, this is out apparently - can't understand a word of this review, but it looks decent.

Easily one of the weirdest releases I've ever seen - so clearly the Stargate version of Anubis, why not go all the way with that? It would have had a clearer market and would have required less effort than all the extras they added to this piece.....
