As anybody ever seen a prototype for sale of any HT’s figure ?
Yes, actually--but probably not what you're thinking. There was an auction recently with a bunch of prototypes. However, they were clearly of a much earlier stage in the development process--they were essentially kitbashes. Not very desirable if what you want is a reasonably good looking and complete figure. The only one that stands out in my memory was the Batman figure in the Azrael/Knightfall armour, based on it's appearance in Arkham Origins.

Edit: Found the thread: HOT TOYS prototypes, artist versions and dioramas on auction! (Bat Cave) BATMAN 1966, BATMAN 1989 and NOLAN tumbler as shown in 2016 at expo/con Japan

There are a lot original "artist's versions," but you can also see a fewe prototypes in there as well, including Bob from Batman (1989) and the aforementioned AzBats:

Damn. I would have been very interested in that AzBats. Shame.

hi,
where is the best place to order expensive statues and collectibles like this? I'd hope a site that would be free shipping and no tax? I'm in CA so I'm thinking id have to order it from a state that doesn't charge tax? Any suggestions? I was gonna order a collectible that's made by cool props.
thank you

“My friends call me Murphy. You can call me…RoboCop.” - Robocop
RoboCop is assigned to clean out the less desirable neighborhoods of Detroit by harassing the local residents and must decide if his loyalties side with his developer the Omni Consumer Products or helping the citizens of the city he is sworn to protect.

Celebrating nearly 30 years impact of RoboCop 3, Hot Toys is excited to revisit the truly iconic character - Robocop in 1/6th scale diecast collectible figure based on this classic Sci-fi movie first released in 1993.

The movie-accurate RoboCop figure made in diecast material features a helmeted head with interchangeable lower part of faces capturing different expressions; intricate sections of armor such as hidden thigh pistol holster; specially applied iridescent colored painting in purplish blue scheme; a number of greatly-detailed weapons and accessories including diecast pistol, pistol, multipurpose cannon with missile and blast effect, flight pack, interchangeable hands and figure base.

Save the day with the Robocop figure today!

Well, in the US, taxes on domestic purchases are charged based on your location, not a manufacturer’s or retailer’s. This is why US-based websites don’t show you the tax surcharge until you’ve entered your address.
Some smaller international online retailers don’t comply with US tax laws, even though you’re technically still “responsible” for reporting those untaxed purchases on tax returns (lol).

Life-size collectibles, AFAIK (coming from someone who doesn’t collect larger than 1/6) tend to have fewer purchasing options than other sized collectibles for obvious reasons. Hopefully someone more familiar with 1:1 scale stuff can chime in and point you to a retailer with the least amount of extra fees.

Those photos look really good spinl3r. Still a bit too silver, but if you're on the fence, I'd be grabbing this one. Likely to be the best Robo we'll see for a long long time.

What are the chances my waitlisted item actually converts? I know I could get it elsewhere but I have about $80 in Sideshow Reward cash that I'd like to use.
