I just saw TW say that Threepio and Battle Droid are shipping. These are the tough times in sixth scale collecting....when you get hit with a ton of releases at once. My wallet hurts, but I really like how R2 came out. Despite the fact that I'm sure a RoTJ R2 is likely on deck as well

If you can still get one then I would. It’s a little more weathered than the Mando version but it would look just fine.

You can always sell it if you prefer a different version in the future. And you likely won’t have trouble with that since it had a short run.

Or you can just keep it and get another one because R2 is a figure you can’t have enough of since he appears everywhere.

Looks like the light feature is the same. Interesting how Sideshow got that right on their version...having the "projector" light not be on all the time. Oh well.

It's amazing that Tamashii was the only one to get a realistic light function... it's something that makes me nervous lol so I will stick to my weathered Tamashii...

Yeah, apparently him and the B1 Battle Droid are out at some HK sellers? TW has both of them In-Stock.

So tomorrow or Friday we might wake up to their blogger pics.

So tomorrow or Friday we might wake up to their blogger pics.

So, all their paid influencers will get them but everyone else will have to wait for "2nd Batch" regardless if they paid for "1st batch"

They tried, but it was too difficult to accomplish with crayons.

I honestly hope not, I need another few weeks after the crazy month or so of figures for me.

Funny thing is, it looks like all 5 releases from May 4th of last year will be officially released within a year.

True, there has been quite the onslaught of figure releases lately. Probably from all the backlog that Chinese New Year tends to create that many of those things are finally coming out and back to back. Good for us, bad for our wallets as tends to be the reoccurring case in this hobby especially if you collect multiple lines Though, that year turn around is pretty good for once! Wouldn't mind that trend to continue for this years May 4th figures.

As for R2 specifically, I ordered from Alter Ego, so thankfully I have some breathing room most likely before they get it in. Though, I'm really excited for this release after my many, many woes with the Sideshow figure.

I got 2 of those B1's coming in so yeah I wouldn't mind another month or so until they hit the US.

I don't think you have to worry about Alter Ego getting anything in anytime soon lol. Crazy the wait time we have to wait from some of the US retailers. I have the SS version as well and have been back and forth with upgrading.

The turn around is great, just not expected, while poor Marvel collectors are still waiting on Wanda from Wandavision, a show that came out in Q1 2021.
