Hmmmmmmmm! Dunno yet buddy I was just gonna make a few 1/6 belts and wrap them around.
What would you suggest buddy?

I made my own leather straps by cutting thin strips from leather.
3 of the straps were cut to 3mm, and 2 of them were cut to 4mm.
A 1/8 buckle worked for all of them.

Here is a crude prototype I was working on last year -

Here is an Inch - mm conversion table for you -

1" = 25.4mm
1/2" = 12.70mm

1/4" = 6.35mm
3/4" = 19.05mm

1/8" = 3.17mm
3/8 = 9.52mm
5/8" = 15.87mm
7/8" = 22.22mm

1/16" = 1.58mm
3/16" = 4.76mm
5/16" = 7.93mm
7/16" = 11.11mm
9/16" = 14.28mm
11/16" = 17.46mm
13/16" = 20.63mm
15/16" = 23.81mm

1/32" = 0.79mm
3/32" = 2.38mm
5/32" = 3.96mm
7/32" = 5.55mm
9/32" = 7.14mm
11/32" = 8.73mm
13/32" = 10.31mm
15/32" = 11.90mm
17/32" = 13.49mm
19/32" = 15.08mm
21/32" = 16.66mm
23/32" = 18.25mm
25/32" = 19.84mm
27/32" = 21.43mm
29/32" = 23.01mm
31/32" = 24.60mm

And speaking of bits... what is the general size of nail head people use for buttons? I see 1.5mm, 3mm and 5mm but not sure which one is a good general size for 1/6.

I used 2mm nailheads for my Jason Part III shirt (these: link), and they look great. As robbie said, that would equate to 1.2 cm in 1:1, which seems about right.

Find one in real life and measure it. Then divide by six. perfect every time.

:lol such a simple idea... and I use it for everything else, but didn't occur to me to do it with a button :lol

Thanks... and I'm actually using it in a Jason shirt :rock

hello, I'm new collector :) I'm customizing my 1/6 joker head, I'm trying to add real hair on his sculpt, unfortunately I couldn't find the green tone as I expected :( so I bought brown hair. I've only one question: how could I paint the hair? which kind of color can I use ?

THANK YOU :love

You need to get blonde mohair off eBay and then dye it . that is the only way you will achieve the correct color.

There are lots of methods for hair rooting, some methods work better that others on particular sculpts. I've tried it a couple of times on 1/6 heads with mixed results, but to get you started take a look at how I do it and maybe tweak the process to suit what you want to achieve. Here's a bit of a step-by-step that I posted on OSW a while back: https://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/sixth-scale-action-figure-news-reviews-discussion/850761-tutorial-applying-hair-1-6-rambo-head.html

i am putting the finishing touches to a conan kitbash, was trying to figure out the best way to make the leather headband, preferably from leather, the scale is tripping me up as both edges need a border, anybody allready go down this road?,any help would be appreciated.

hi all,
Please I need help where can I buy leather for belts and leather accessories for 1/6 figures? I want try made some belts but I do not know which materials I need. I found only 2 mm leather on chinese online shops. Thanks for any answer

Hope it?s ok to post this here.

Can anyone suggest a good varnish/sealant for figures?
I was using Testors Dullcote which I found worked well, but I can?t for the life of me find it in stores anymore.

Also have Vallejo Matt varnish but I hate it. Smells awful.
