1/6 Hot Toys Luke Skywalker - Dark Empire (Legends)

I’ve tried for every artisan and never got through before. In my experience the queue has been a steady decrease of drops between ten to fifty-ish people at a time.

1/6 Hot Toys Luke Skywalker - Dark Empire (Legends)

I had a spot in line that was over 4,400 out that somehow managed to get through. I assumed I was SOL and I wasn’t watching that close. I have no idea if the queue jumped unusually. Were a lot of people skipping the artisan for standard? Was the queue churning unusually fast for others? Did I...

    Marvel Studios : X-Men '97 - 2023

I’ve whipped this idea out before, probably in a Captain Marvel discussion thread on the board, but I think Marvel is missing an obvious slow build for the X-men that makes sense. Introduce mutants over time through many of their other connections to the Marvel Universe. The next Captain Marvel...

    Mondo 1/6 ThunderCats

The provided photos don’t have the resolution to show it, but there’s also some weird fur texturing going on.

    1/6 Hot Toys - CMS016D58 Doctor Aphra (Marvel Comic): 0-0-0 (Triple-Zero)

Sideshow used to have distribution centers in Europe but closed them a long time ago. They still possess the HT distribution rights for Europe. Local Euro retailers are resellers, with many sourcing from Hong Kong resellers to indirectly get stock. These issues inflate the price of Hot Toys in...

    1/6 Hot Toys - CMS016D58 Doctor Aphra (Marvel Comic): 0-0-0 (Triple-Zero)

I wish I knew for sure where Hot Toys sends out their allotment for these new kinds of exclusives. It might just be certain official Hot Toys physical stores throughout SE Asia and Sideshow. If anyone knows about other distributors that has an official allocation and isn’t just a reseller, I...

Hot Toys is celebrating The Phantom Menace 25th Anniversary and Star Wars: Dark Side? in 2024

Basic battle droid and 2000 wooly haired Qui Gons with literally nothing else offered.

1/6 Hot Toys -TMS118 - Ahsoka series : Ahsoka the White

I’m going to need an extra one of these heads for my DX version.

1/6 Hot Toys -TMS117 - Ahsoka series: Marrok

This is one of those characters that is fine for the Hasbro line, but Hot Toys shouldn’t bother with. I’m pretty sure I could rattle off ten other figures from this show who are more important. We’re getting this because no headsculpt is substantially easier for Hot Toys.

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

Nanjin sure has loved to talk up the detail they achieved with the pattern on the shoulders of the SNW uniforms. I cannot believe he has even bragged that you need a magnifying glass to really appreciate the detail. And he has made it clear that he cannot achieve that print and use the stretchy...

Hot Toys Scarlet Witch Artisan Edition - Avengers Endgame

At this point I am going to have to be an InArt fan because they actually let me order their products. Even though I have nearly the entire IS/Endgame line (paid full price) and nearly every screen-used release of Star Wars for the last three+ years (no chrome clone bs), all Hot Toys is telling...

    Star Wars: Ahsoka

While there’s definitely room for the wandering bounty Hunter adventures of the Mando and the spy thriller of Andor; this Ahsoka series is the groundwork of the epic space fantasy story that Star Wars has been missing since Disney took over. It isn’t perfect. Star Wars has always been rough...

    InArt Thorin Oakenshield 1/6 Figure

Five minutes of googling lead me to the following numbers, so please don’t excoriate me if there are any better height experts here. Elijah Wood’s Frodo was estimated to have been portrayed at 4’1“. Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint were 4’10” in the first Potter film. How much do you think...

    InArt Thorin Oakenshield 1/6 Figure

This company is moving too slowly to mess around with a character like Thorin. The Asmus one is very good. Meanwhile, most of the Fellowship is a shameful train wreck.

1/6 Hot Toys - MMS632 - Spider-Man: No Way Home - Doc Ock Collectible Figure

They are just setting us up for Artisan editions of all the big named Spider-man villains. Wooly-haired Alfred Molina will look great.

Hot Toys Anakin Skywalker DX "Artisan Edition" 1/6 Figure Revenge of the Sith

I am sure I will feel a sense of pride and accomplishment after paying a scalper US$1200 for this doll next year.

Sideshow Cad Bane The Clone Wars Animated 1/6 Scale Figure

The Yoda is great. But considering they messed up 3 of the 4 figures in this line, I wasn’t going to hold my breath on the quality of Cad Bane. But I think there is room for a third party to step in and do this. The quality would probably be better and the figure cheaper than Sideshow.

    Star Wars: Ahsoka

Can we get a separate thread for fandom ennui, nihilism, and despair? Most of this thread is more about people needing to find a new hobby rather than the tv show.

1/6 Hot Toys - TMS111 - Ahsoka series: Sabine Wren

Just when I think I won’t see another character in an episode that Hot Toys could make, I see a background character and think “maybe Hot Toys will finally make a medical droid!” This series easily has over a dozen figure possibilities, but I know there’s no way we are getting them all. Right...
