1/6 Hot Toys Stormtroopers Deluxe Version MMS514/515

The pauldrons came off the Marmit Sandtroopers. The orange one is the original color, but I did slightly weather it. I believe Marmit modelled them from a still from the "Move Along" scene where the pauldron looks to be falling forward a little bit. They made them very un-symmetrical, but...

1/6 Hot Toys Stormtroopers Deluxe Version MMS514/515

Diddo for all! I've customized my Hot Toys and Marmit Sandtroopers (swapped out some pauldrons). Marmit definitely did a better job on the helmet sculpt. I've thought about, with great hesitation because of removing the armor, changing the bodies on my Marmit troopers, but probably not! ;)

1/6 Hot Toys Stormtroopers Deluxe Version MMS514/515

One thing HT definitely got wrong on the ROTJ Stormtrooper was the kidney plate/butt plate the armor. They should be one piece (lower back and butt parts were not cut apart), but HT made them separate like their ANH troopers. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the abdomen armor should be one piece...

I agree the face mask needs work. The "mouth" is too big. It should be smaller than the eyes.

    1/6 Hot Toys MMS699 & MMS700 ROTJ Darth Vader

I did the same for the helmet, and I filed down the widow's peak a little. It seemed too pointy. I also believe the reference Hot Toys used for the figure was Prowse's stunt double in the Cloud City Shaft battle with Luke. His chest and abdomen are too skinny. I bulked mine up a little bit and...

1/6 NEXT Hot Toys STAR WARS Figure...?

Indeed. I had the same problem with my custom AT-AT Commander. I had to have him at attention with his hands around his back.

1/6 NEXT Hot Toys STAR WARS Figure...?

Nice! I too decided not to wait on Hot Toys. I had a spare Praji suit, used a rebel blaster, DID German boots, helmet from the Leia/Ewok set, and face sculpt of Jayne (Adam Baldwin). Can't remember where the chinstrap came from.

Looks great. I did the same. I think you need to take the gloves off though. I don't believe the trooper with the headset had gloves on.

1/6 NEXT Hot Toys STAR WARS Figure...?

I can't see them making an ESB trooper. It's quite easy to make one. I made one a while ago from ANH Trooper by painting the nose frown black, using extra hands from the ROTJ Trooper, and switching the holster to the right hip. I wish they would, but I doubt it.
