Got mine today. For the price I think it turned out pretty well. As a fan of the show I think this might be the only chance at a figure. He's a bit shorter than their Homelander even though Tyler is a little taller than Antony.
I like that there's another option, but I can't help thinking that I'm going to wake up one night and I'll look over and see him staring into my soul. Not sure how comfortable I am with that...
I really like the head sculpt but I wish it had changeable hair. Really not feeling that pixie cut on her. At least I'll get a mini Wasp with the Ant-man figure.
What confuses me is that they keep stating the he sculpt is a work in progress, then why are they showing so many pictures of it. Hopefully they are working on a changeable mouth piece. I don't see a smile on his face.
$450 for paint is too steep for me. I'd rather use that money to try getting Christopher Lloyd to sign my base. Having my base sign might distract people from looking at the terrible head sculpt Hot Toys provided.
Since they used magnet for the wings I was hoping they had stronger magnets for the Iron Spider arms. My fault for thinking Hot Toys would do something innovative.
The only reason I will accept from Hot Toys on why they didn't sculpt a new head sculpt is because they are releasing an alternate 1985 Lorraine figure and they needed all the plastic to accurately portray her boob job.
I knew I was going to hate it when I ordered it. But I needed a Doc in my collection. Seeing how this was the only way I was ever going to get one. I also wanted to get one to try to get Christopher Lloyd to sign the base for me at a convention. I had Michael J Fox sign my volume 1 base at a...
If you take their wording literally, it also hints at who it is. They said the head sculpt was *new* so it implies that it's not a lazy repaint of a sculpt they already produced. The new Hot Toys standard.
