JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

Let's put this into perspective for a moment and compare it with the other 1/3 Reeve Superman that was made available to us a few years ago. I personally think that this will be a stunning display piece and I will be amazed if anything is released in the future that will surpass this.

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

Yes, I find it very frustrating when I see these products lit so poorly and with filters. JND are all about hyper-realism, but their photo and video style doesn't showcase the products in a flattering way at all. Give me a naturally lit, how it will look in person photo any day of the week!

Yes, that photo of the Art Department sculpt is not as good as the JND

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

My buddy sent me this photo which apparently was posted on facebook, so at least it looks like we will be seeing some better quality, colour balanced images. THIS is what JND should be putting out there to showcase the new portrait if they want to show it at it's best. The video lighting is...

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

That's a bit harsh Chopper Face. This is by far the best Reeve likeness produced by any company at any scale in my opinion. Do a side by side with the Sideshow Premium format(s), Hot Toys or Cinemaquette to see what I mean.

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

It's amazing how we all see these things so differently. As someone who has pre-ordered the dual version, I am over the moon with the new images and am not in need of any counselling. LOL. It will be nice to see the official photos of the updated sculpt (presumably tomorrow when the pre-order...

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

This looks superb to me. Costume colour looks VERY accurate to the original fabric. Can't wait to see the official re-launch photos, but I'm VERY happy with this so far.

They mention updated portrait AND proportions, so it will be interesting to see if they've changed some proportions on the body. Roll on Thursday 2nd!

Yes, May 2nd is the full reveal

But won't a Prime1/Blitzway be sculpted costume too? Honestly, I think the sculpted costume detail is astonishingly good and I totally agree with Kojun that real fabric gives away the fact that it's not 1/1.

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

Get ready for this. Daniel just announced on the JND Studios Youtube update video #25 that the Reeve Superman portrait has undergone some "Significant changes" and they are doing a mini product "re-launch" next week to showcase it and let people on the wait list (or new customers) have a chance...

I wonder if they've updated the portrait or just the hair. Look forward to seeing it and glad I kept my pre-order going!

    S.H.Figuarts Indiana Jones

Do you mean the ball of blu tack to raise the head up a bit? I need to swap the bag over with the Hasbro version too as the SH version's strap is too short so the top of the bag sits too high above his belt. Here's a better, natural daylight photo.

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

Few more photos. The close-up photo of the holster in hand is the most representative of the actual colour that it appears in person. Not sure why my camera changes the colour tone when I photographed the little mock-up costume display with all the different parts.

    S.H.Figuarts Indiana Jones

Updated the head and Fedora on my SH Figuarts. Love that figure and it just blows the Hasbro version away in my opinion.

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

I now have all of the pieces I need to be able to convert the JND statue into a Raiders version. REALLY pleased with how all of these items have turned out! :) Final adjustment to the length of the pants belt will need to be done after I've got the statue in hand so I don't make the belt too...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

Thanks! The coloring was one of the most important parts that I wanted to be right and I think they did a great job. Awesome to hear that JND will be continuing to work on the sculpt until production. I think they realize that the Connery sculpt surpasses Indy, so I have some faith (a leap of...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

Some more amazing works of art from Full Metal Customs (Jon de Guzman & Dave Park). Here's the 1/3 scale Raiders belts and holster for my JND statue conversion. (The military pants belt will be cut to the correct length once I've got it onto the statue to see how long it should be).

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

Yes, his face definitely looks too thin. Hopefully that's just lens distortion as I can't believe they would produce something so clearly off from all the reference photos they've referred to. The hat being too wide also doesn't do the face width any favors. I look forward to seeing the correct...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

Ugh. Starting to get buyers remorse looking at those pics. :( For the price they're charging for this, they should be offering two portraits - one with an accurately fitting hat that doesn't need to sit over the full head of hair, and one without the hat on. Trying to get the solid hat to fit...
