1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Finished making the seat. Making the fuel tank. I started by making the basic shape, then adding strips to create the ridges. I will make it detachable to hide the battery bank.

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Roll cage made and fitted. Did a bit more work to the rear wheels. Started making the frame for the jump seat. I've used square brass rod inside for strength.

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Added the rear interior panels and cross bracing. Next step is the roll cage. Exterior door handles made. These will be functional.

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

I remade the fuel tanks so they are much larger than before. Previously, I used the largest diameter pipe i could find. Then i realised i could buy half pipe closer to the correct diameter needed and glue them in 2 halves. The gauges on the back are now correctly sitting just above the edge of...

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Making the inner door panels. The door cards are missing, but this actually means even more work, as i have to replicate all the little details in the stampings.

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Making the inserts for the rear wheels. There are 18 spokes, so have to be carefully marked out. The holes are drilled then cut out with a scalpel. Glued to the rims. Just the wheel bolts and centre caps to add. I also remade the front wheel rims. These were too small before, making the...

1/6 DID MA80170 F/A-18E Pilot – Captain Mitchell (Tom Cruise, Maverick)

I managed to get it resolved eventually. My PO was indeed cancelled, so he sent me a direct link to the invoice, which i paid straight away. I've never had any issues like this before, so hopefully it was just a one off glitch. I got the figure 2 days ago. (y)

    JazzInc Batman Forever 1/6 Batmobile

You can read about that incident here: https://www.collectorfreaks.com/threads/jazz-inc-1-6-1966-batmobile.246857/page-16 Even though Joost assured me that they would send out a replacement, if it couldn't be found, that doesn't change what happened. I would prefer not to have to deal with...

    JazzInc Batman Forever 1/6 Batmobile

My Batmobile has arrived! Such a relief that it was UPS who delivered it. I have had nothing but headaches from Fedex, every single time i have had dealings with them. My 66 was almost stolen by a Fedex employee. I don't yet have a proper space to display it yet, so it will have to go back in...

    1/6 figs dreamlist

I just want a 3rd party to have a crack at Colonial Marines. VTS did pretty well with their Starship Troopers.

1/6 DID MA80170 F/A-18E Pilot – Captain Mitchell (Tom Cruise, Maverick)

My PO for this was cancelled by Kit, because of an unpaid invoice for the balance. I never received the invoice, so how am i supposed to pay it?

Hot toys Snowspeeder Pilot Luke Skywalker

Stellar work on that repaint. Seeing that makes me want to add more weathering to my scratchbuilt one. The only thing that bothers me about the JazzInc Snowspeeder, are the gun barrels. I feel they are too close to the wings and there should be a slight gap.

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

As the window for spray painting is approaching, i want to try and finish off the building for this. Making the wheel inserts. This starts as 4 discs of 2mm plasticard glued together. The centre is drilled out and the edges bevelled. The gaps are marked out on the back. Most of the gaps...

1/6 Scale Condorman Condormobile Nova Sterling scratchbuild

Making the wheel inserts. This starts as 4 discs of 2mm plasticard glued together. The centre is drilled out and the edges bevelled. The slots are drilled out and shaped with a knife and files. The hub is glued to the back. They are a push fit into the existing wheels.

1/6 Scale Condorman Condormobile Nova Sterling scratchbuild

Making the air intakes, these start off as a stack of plasticard squares glued together. I used a Dremel to shape the inside. Cutting the opening in the bodywork. Glued into place, just a bit of filler and sanding needed. I also made the rear louvre panel.

    Jazzinc Batman BTAS 1/6 Batmobile

I get the feeling this one's a non-starter. Going for a screen accurate version will likely end up looking very toy-like. A more realistic option, will be at odds with any figures. The one above looks like a single seater, so a 2 seater will be enormous. A 1/6 model will be equally enormous, so...

    SUPERMADTOYS 1/6 Bionic Man

Got my order in, actually 2, as i wanted a 2nd Steve Austin figure. I want to scratch build a Death Probe at some point.

PREMIER TOYS 1/6 Leader of Marauders (The Humungus)

If you already have an M34 and concerned about spending more, then it's really not a big deal. If you buy an M35 and then decide it's not right for you, then finding another use for it could be difficult, since finding clothes to fit is awkward. For me, since he is so top heavy, having larger...

PREMIER TOYS 1/6 Leader of Marauders (The Humungus)

Definitely go for the M35, and yes, the hands are a slightly different shade to the body. As far as bullets go, he actually only had 5 left in the movie, so less is more accurate. I hope this isn't all we're getting from MM2. I had hoped for another announcement by now, ideally the Gyro...

1/6 Scale Condorman Condormobile Nova Sterling scratchbuild

Making the instrument binnacle. Much sanding later. Making the 2nd set of seats. Still to add the headrests.
