For a licensed piece, that's the going rate unfortunately. Apart from it floating on it's own power, it looks as good of a probe droid as I've seen in the prop community.
It's the going rate for things like this. It does have a light up and sound feature, which it's closest competitor, MYC, didn't have. Both are priced similarly.
I'm looking at buying a Jedi training remote and that by itself, goes for $1000.
The CM is easily the best painted Predator. You can see the lineage of both Prime 1's portraits; they're done using the same technique.
The Prime 1 1/3 Predator is still the best statue, regardless.
Overall, this statue, based on these early photos, don't warrant the asking price(as well as shipping). People were saying P1 was going all out on this piece. very clearly, they did not. The quality and technique used for this piece, don't look any better to the 1/4. The evidence of this is...
Looks similar to the 1/4's paint job. Not that that's a bad thing. I was expecting this to be done closer to the proto though. Decals look...decally. Nothing special. For the hardcore, definitely get this repainted.
Size and presence are amazing though! This is the ultimate Predator...
I worry about any piece with a large ES. I just got my P1 Goku and the eyes on the exclusive portraits are messed up; air bubbles, paint flaking etc. This issue is rampant.
The 1/3 Predator guaranteed will have problems.
Super lame, but it's P1. I'm surprised this isn't gold TBH.
In the end, I'm just glad that I have one that isn't broken.
They better step up and replace parts for those that have issues. That's the worst part of all of this.
Sorry to hear than man. That's such an awful feeling. I just don't get the inconsistency. Suffice it to say, I'm never taking the chance to sell this thing. Going to get rid of the boxes too.
These 1/3 scale statue boxes get ridiculous.
